I had a fun late season dive a little ways away in Monroe. The water isn’t too cold yet. Today was so windy that the water level is extremely low, so the ramps to the floating docks are at an awkward angle!

I recently finished a solo kayak trip of the full AuSable River. I did it a few years ago but wanted to see if I could do it in three days. It was a challenge with the limited daylight, but I had fun, paddling about 40 miles each day. The first day and night were very cold, but it warmed up after that. There are six dams, which require portages, and the large impoundments have no current.

Diving at an old car in the St. Clair River. It’s at about 65’ deep. Video doesn’t capture how strong the current is very well.

This nice fish (bass?) distracted me briefly from a seawall inspection I was videoing. It’s so nice to be back in the water 🐠

When I was kayaking the Green River in Utah in November, I got just a glimpse of this animal. It looks like a mammal but I couldn’t tell what it was. Any guesses? Beaver maybe?
