I feel awful for travelers who get all the way to Alpine/Marfa/Terlingua and then find out their accommodations are double booked and they have nowhere to stay. This is extremely unprofessional and should never happen.
I’ve gotten 4 guests in the past week due to this issue.
Thankfully I had last minute availability and was able to provide them accommodations.

Potential guest - "Can you measure doors to make sure my quadriplegic husband can get into this house?"

Me - "I already know he won't be able to fit through those doors, but I can recommend a different location where I know for sure that he can. I've had several guests in power wheelchairs stay at this property."

Potential guest - "Oh, thank you! I have called so many hotels and texted so many other hosts. We are bringing my 93 year old father with us and visiting Alpine is on his bucket list! You've made this so easy!"
