Maarten, the ATV ride and beach break excursion are for you. See some island highlights on an ATV and catch some rays at Great Bay Beach. You’ll meet your guide at your St. Maarten cruise ship terminal and be driven to the base camp (10-minute ride) for instructions and safety equipment for your ATV ride. There is an option to order this excursion to ride either alone as single or double with one
driver and passenger. Please see the restriction section. The 3-hour ride allows multiple, 15 to 20-minute stops along the way to stretch and see the sights. The driving is at a leisurely pace and mostly on the road with some off-roading. One bottled water and one soft drink per person is included. You will follow your guide out once everyone is set and ready! You’ll be visiting both the Dutch and French sides of the island. From the Dutch side at Cole Bay Hill lookout point you’ll have panoramic views of Philipsburg, the islands of Saba, St. Eustatius, and Anguilla, and Simpson Bay Lagoon, the largest inland body of water in the Caribbean. See the famous Maho Beach where the planes fly so low you think you can touch them as they cruise overhead on landing at the island's airport at the edge of the beach. This is the most popular beach on the Dutch side of the island. In the capital of the French side, Marigot, you’ll be treated to colorful markets and upscale boutiques. In Grand Case, the Gourmet Capital of the Caribbean, you will find plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes and a beach with a variety of watersports. Stop at Orient Bay, a coastal community with the #1 beach on the French side. Oyster Pond is a small lagoon surrounded by tall hills where there have been built luxury homes only accessible by steep roads. Finish your excursion with an hour stop at Great Bay Beach back on the Dutch side. From here you can see your cruise ship and take a swim in the Caribbean ocean, stroll the beach or do some shopping along the Boardwalk. You’ll have an hour beach time here at the end of your ride. Please note that the order may be reversed or changed due to conditions. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beauty of St. Maarten/ St. Martin island. At the end of this amazing adventure, you'll be returned to your St. Maarten cruise terminal. Note: Round-trip transportation is NOT included.
