Be sure to get there in enough time before your cruise boards because you may have a long wait! (The line moved pretty quickly for us though.).🪼A salmon donut may not sound appealing, but it truly was delicious with the creamy topping. If your Alaska cruise stops in Skagway, the White Pass railroad that goes to the White Pass Summit is worth taking.: 🚞 Completed in 27 months using only hand tools, black powder, and regional timber, the White Pass & Yukon Route rises almost 2,900 feet from sea level at the port of Skagway to the White Pass summit on the U.S.-Canada border in just 20 miles, accomplishing one of the steepest climbs of any railroad in the world.• 🚞 Between May 1898 and July 1900, some 35,000 workers had a hand, big and small, in connecting Skagway and Whitehorse by rail, and 35 died in the process. 🚞 If you take the roundtrip journey on the train it takes about 3 hours. Another option is to take the motorcoach one way and the train back. This way you get to experience two ways of seeing the beautv that surrounds vou.

Aviation analytics company Cirium just released its report for June 2024 for on-time arrivals for airlines and airports’ on-time departures.✈️ Only one U.S. airline cracked the top 10 globally for on-time arrivals: Delta, with 80.05 percent of its 148,781 flights last month arriving on time. That’s pretty impressive given Delta’s massive volume of flights. For comparison, the top-performing airline was Saudia, with 88.22 percent of its flights arriving on time, but it only had 16,133 flights in June 2024.. ✈️ Want to know the worst? Passports are still required for traveling to the island; the app will just streamline the process and enable visitors to pass through customs without needing to show the physical documents. 📍Prior to arrival, guests can download the app on their mobile device, scan their passports, verify their identity via a photo and complete an online customs form. Aruba is one of a handful of destinations worldwide that utilize this technology. 📍The goal is not just to reduce wait times, it’s also to combat identity theft, error and fraud.
