One of the most important parts of the renovation was to remove three windows-one greenhouse window in the kitchen on the first floor, one window in the second floor bathroom to make a wall for the huge new shower and one window on the third floor to add the mini theater. Today you would never have known those windows even existed.
Everyone has different ideas when it comes to home decor. This cabin was full of silks and small animals hides and over 50 framed pictures, some were huge. I couldn’t help feel a little sad taking down all these things because someone spent a lot of time, effort and money putting this stuff in place. I felt good thinking about that person enjoying this cabin while they lived here. They also took such good care of this house - we knew they loved it too!
Just can’t say enough great things about our contractors! They didn’t stop or give up until the job was completed and done right. And they had a little fun too and we ate well thanks to my amazing hubby, Chef Dave!

Before and after - now you see’m - now you don’t! Removing those 2 windows allowed us to add a beautiful huge walk-in shower on the second floor and a theater on the third floor. Getting close!!
Bears are frequent guests at the Moonshine cabin. We don’t feed them but they see the demo dumpster and they come to investigate.
This beautiful cabin has been used as a single family vacation home for many years. It had very little wear and tear but was in desperate need of updating. When we get done, it will sleep up to 14 people. We are adding a third bathroom and a loft theater. It already had a great game room and a deck for a hot tub. The new 6 person hot tub is on its way. The view is good and the location is great-just a half mile from many restaurants, shops, and the foothills parkway. I will try to post before and after photos as we go!
