Llamas are sure-footed, well adapted to high altitudes and mountainous terrain, with minimal impact on Yellowstone’s fragile trails. Our llamas carry all food, tents, sleeping bags, clothing and other equipment. Best of all - anyone, including small children, can lead a llama after a few minutes of basic instruction. And no – our llamas do NOT spit at people. All llamas used on our treks are owned

, trained and cared for by us, year-round. Some have been bred for packing, others were rescued from abuse and neglect and have joined as capable packers. We look forward to introducing our friends, the Yellowstone Llamas, to you!
