The 99 steps (they total 103 actually) lead to Blackbeardโs Castle, one of five National Historic Landmarks in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Originally built in 1679.

Bluebeard's Castle is one one the many historic property dating back to the 1600's, overlooking the harbor and town of Charlotte Amalie.
