Things are looking up for this weekend! Bring on the snow!

While scattered snow showers may develop across parts of the area this morning, a storm system will cross the region tonight bringing widespread snow later this afternoon through Wednesday morning. Additional lake effect snow continues beyond this system.

As you may be aware, the stretch of trail that runs along Otsego Lake is currently under construction. Improvements are being made so it can serve as part of the Iron Bell bike trail in the summer and continue as a snowmobile trail in the winter. The project was held up due to the recent strike, however, work on the trail has resumed and is expected to be completed late this fall. We have been reassured that the trail will be open for snowmobiling as usual on December 1st, weather permitting. Stay posted for updates as our riding season approaches!

**The bike trail will not be paved and will not interfere with snowmobiling.

Please keep in mind that in the Ga***rd area our snowmobile trails were closed on April 1st. This means grooming will no longer take place and all crossings through private property are closed and you would be trespassing. Riding after April 1st is only permitted on State designated snowmobile trails that you can access without using private property.
