Wine, wool and wicked fun!

The Tours by Vogue Knitting group just returned from a fabulous 7 day sailing to Canada and New England on the beautiful Norwegian Breakaway.

The group enjoyed cruising and knitting with host Carla Scott and learning new patterns with expert knitters Norah Gauguin and Michele Lee Bernstein.

Knitting across Norway - what a trip!

The Vogue Knitting group started in Oslo , staying at Grand Hotel Oslo. The group of 15 ladies and one gentleman, enjoyed a visit to a nearby shop with yarn and traditional Norwegian clothing and a city tour before heading out of town to a knitting workshop with Laila. Her ‘Smart Brioche’ technique were a challenge for even the experienced knitters!

While in Oslo the group visited the Folk Museum and the Fram exhibition with a boat trip to the Opera House.

Next the knitters traveled through Norway’s majestic mountains to Ulvik, a small farming town on the fjord. In Ulvik, Caroline and her friends provided a relaxing, fun workshop and some lovely woven and knitted items for purchase 🧶

Visits to a local farm, a day spent enjoying a boat trip on the Sognefjord and a train ride through the snow capped mountains completed this leg of their journey!

On to the next adventure- see you in Bergen!
