Day 8 at Phu Quoc was all about beaches, pool and Casino and good food !!!

The most awaited sightseeing that we took was for Bana Hills which includes Golden bridge, Fantasy park, Flower Garden, Pagoda , French village and much more. We experienced it all , be it multiple cable cars, soaking in the natural beauty , a lavish buffet spread , unpredicted heavy rainfalls, a beautiful French village which was originally made by French and then destroyed during a war by them. It has now been beautifully recreated. One needs to experience it themselves and no travel stories or write ups can describe even a bleak percentage of the whole experience.

We will let the pictures and videos do all the talking . 💜💜.

On our Anniversary day which was also last day in Hanoi before we moved to our next destination "Danang" , we had booked a complete day trip to Halong Bay which got cancelled due to storm and heavy rains prediction. We experienced the affect in Hanoi as well with heavy rains off and on for the complete day. Both of us were ofcourse disappointed but we decided to step out and went to a mall in New Hanoi to pamperourselves with some shopping , local food tasting and a casual Pizza dinner at "The Pizza Company" which also served few options for vegetarians. As it was a Tuesday, we also enjoyed the 1+1 offer on the pizza 🍕 😉😉.The Pizza was super tasty and cheesey. We felt so light throughout the day . :)

Although Hanoi Train Street needs no introduction , but for those who don't know about it, it is around hundred years old train track running through the heart of Hanoi’s old town.
The special attraction is the residential area along the two sides of Hanoi Train Street, right next to the railway on the doorstep. The streets are so narrow that all residents have to ensure their pets, vehicles and things safety every time the train passes while keeping their daily lives normal on both sides of the road. It attracts many travellers every year for the sheer of its beautiful cafe's, the complete concept that has been conceptualized. Although, google would show you the train timings but they are not the ones that are followed . Consider yourself lucky if you see a train passing by when you spend a couple of hours there. We were lucky enough to see the train passing by as soon as we got down from our Taxi . It was shuch an wow moment.

We also spent some time at the lake area which was so calm and peaceful inspite of buzzing with tourists from different countries.

Day 2 of our Vietnam trip also included Hoa Lu which is the ancient capital at Ninh Bin province..it creates the cultural identity of the area and help people understand more about the cultural, architectural and sculptural values associated with the legend about the foundation of Dai Co Viet ( an old name of Viet Nam country).It was also recognized as one of the 4 cores forming of the UNESSCO World Heritage Site- Trang An.This place offers an ancient and sediment beauty and makes us feel how the city was a millennium ago.

There is an unique tree in the compound which was used to make Chopsticks for the kings. The importance this chopstick was that it would turn black in the case it would come in contact with poisonous food. We also got to know from the guide that similar thing used to happen in China. The difference was that the raw material used there was silver instead.

We are having ice creams for 30000, cold drinks for 10000 and water for 20000 and now we get a tomato loaded sandwich for breakfast here in Vietnam. We are feeling super rich 😂😂😂

What could be better than getting 2 different types of coffee as soon as you check in to the hotel...

Had heard and read so much about Vietnamese coffee.. the moment we took a sip , we knew why .

As we are in Hanoi for few days and had reached here early morning we had an additional room night booked so that we can rest before starting to explore the city on our own. We could also enjoy the breakfast at the hotel itself and moved to our room for taking rest.
We have selected a boutique hotel in the centre of the city ( Old Quarter )so that we can explore on our convience.

The beauty of doing research for good three months about your upcoming travel and then seeing everything falling in place is so satisfying. Being regular travellers, we have worked on the minutest details so that our entry is comfortable as soon as we landed. Be it getting just the minimal currency exchange at the airport to buy local sim card and using the Grab app for our cab requirements. It was indeed a smooth process and we saved money as well :)

Like any other major city, Bangalore also surprises you as a traveller with two different kind of vibes. While the history of old Bangalore is definitely rich and fascinating , the new Bangalore leaves you in aww when you learn about its high tech industry, nightlife and much more. As we had total 4 days in hand out of which 2 days were to be spent at home in the company of college friends , we decided to make the most of it by giving 1 day each to old and new Bangalore. We were surprised ourselves that we could cover Brigade Road,M.G Road and adjoining shopping streets, Koramangala & Madiwala, Malleshwaram, Chickpet.

Shri Krishna sweets is where we found these satisfying beauties . It is a pioneer in traditional sweets and savouries in Bangalore. We got to learn that they use pure ghee and have their presence in 60+ locations accross the country and also in the UAE. We ordered and relished black current Sandesh and American dry fruit barfi .

When we were planning our Bangalore trip and creating a list of the iconic places we wanted to visit , Central Tiffin Room was definitely on our list. It is a heritage restaurant situated at Malleswaram having old World charm and have marble like topped tables.

Ironically, this place is closed from 12.30 pm - 4 pm which is supposed to be the peak timing for any restaurant. We reached there at 3.45 pm and were flabbergasted seeing the line that was there to enter even though it opens at 4 pm.( Second shift opens at 4 pm and closes at 9.30 pm , while the first shift opens at 7.30 am and closes at 12.30 pm) We patiently got in the line and waited to experience something like this for the first time. The line kept on increasing behind us and we started feeling luckier and luckier. :)

As soon as the clock striked 4 pm , the gate opened and a well organized team started guiding the guests as to where to sit . It felt as if the place was pre booked well in advance. Everything was so well organized with absolutely no confusion at all. We ordered rawa idli, Khara bhath. Kesari Bhath , Benne Masala dosa and filter coffee and the service was incredibly fast . The food was served piping hot at all the tables. The moment you taste each and every item, you come to know why this place is such a favourite!! No words can describe and do justice to the kind of food or**sm we went through.. We have never had better version of the dishes we ordered anywhere else.One has to experience the same themselves to understand what we are referring to. Our happy faces clearly ooze out the feeling of a satisfied foodie :) We paid only Rs 234 inclusive of taxes ! And yes , Just to mention, this is the same place where Virat and Anushka were recently mobbed by fans.

Simple pleasures of life .. Got these simple and colourful bangles while walking around the neighborhood from a shop that sold almost everything. :) . The language barrier didn't stop him from selling and me from buying. That's the power of communication without talking. Afterall, that's another beauty of travelling. 💜

As we are only getting Safeda in Delhi / NCR right now , we were spoilt for choice seeing the variety of Mangoes available in Bangalore . Hence , decided to order 4 different varieties of mango including Lalbagh Mango, Kesar mango, Raspuri and Alphanso Mango Badaami and some kiwi to add the color. Topped with Vanila icecream and served .Mango season came early for us here .💚💜

While boys are happy having "Their Time" , I decided to have some "Me time". Hence , just thought of exploring the nearby small lanes and bylanes of where we are staying. Had a refreshing coconut water which was full of water and malai just for Rs 40! Met "Moti" who was so loving, spent few moments full of unconditional love with him. Before I said bye to him , he posed for a photo. Crossed a small mandir and then reached a busy bakery and sweet shop. As the Mysore Pak looked so fresh and inviting , just took a piece , had half and brought back half for the boys to taste .😁

This was our first experience with DigiYatra app and definitely a good one.We thought of giving this a try as we have been hearing mix reviews . It was such a flawless experience and we were at the lounge in less than 15 minutes from the arrival entrance.

For those who are not aware of the same yet, DigiYatra allows flyers to enter the airport using facial recognition technology. One just has to download the app and follow the instructions. .

While coming back from Dharamshala, before reaching Pathankot , we stopped for lunch at a place called The Spot at Shahpur as suggested by our cab wale bhaiya . While Nikhil ordered Egg curry , I ordered Paneer Bhurji and mixed raita with Roti. We were happy to see how neat and clean the open kitchen was. It served home style food and also happily accomodated some alterations that Nikhil suggested. His Hotel Management genes were at its peak that time. 😁😁 The staff ensured timely visit to our table not just to check on how the food and service was but also to take our feedback if any. :)

We loved the food and the simple yet inviting ambience . And yes , the washrooms were also glittering clean! ( Afterall , one definitely looks for a place with clean washrooms ) .

As our return train was booked from Pathankot , I wanted to surprise Nikhil and hence planned few hours at Madhopur which is only 20 kms from Pathankot. The Coral river resort is situated at the most picturesque location and there is a canal that flows right next to the resort. The food is decent as well and the portion size is much more than the usual size that we normaly get at the restaurants. They also have two categories for rooms if one wants to spend a couple of days.

I have fond memories of Madhopur and Pathankot as my Buaji used to stay there and it was an annual ritual for us to spend some days of summer vacations there. We could also get a glance of my Buaji 's house just before we were about to catch the train. It was a sheer coincidence that it was her birthday on Apr 11th when we went there. :)

We visited a beautiful Church named St. John in the Wilderness at Dharmashala. It was built in 1852 and is located on the way to McLeod Ganj, at Forsyth Gunj. It is set amidst deodar forest at the height of 5742 feet above the sea level and certainly would give an all together experience to carry back with yourself. You will notice towards your left as soon as you enter the resting place of Britishers who lost their lives in the 1905 earthquake. 19800 people died in that Earthquake but this Church was left untouched by the damage. Only the bell was destroyed which was brought again from England later.
