Tomorrow the Board of Supervisors will hold a moment of silence in honor of our dear friend Georgett Eggel. This will happen at the beginning of their meeting at 9 am at the courthouse in Lakeport. Please join us in person if you can. If you can’t, watch the BOS page for a Zoom link to watch online.

It is with very heavy hearts that we share our dear Georgett Eggel passed away this morning and is no longer in pain. Georgett poured her heart into our Lake County Community...and we are all better for it!

What a fun EdVenture (Educational Adventure) we had this morning! We celebrated some 5 Year anniversaries and announced that Jacie Casteel is our 2024 Lake County CTA of the Year!!!

Our CTAs knocked it out of the park today at the 30th Annual Pear Festival!!! We handed out around 475 copies of Lake Life Magazine and 400 Lake County maps and had great conversations with out of county visitors and our fellow community.

Lake County Certified Tourism Ambassador Program

The Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (CTA) Program is a nationally recognized certification program for anyone who wants to become an advocate for Lake County. The program teaches best practices and helps front-line workers, volunteers and all residents increase their knowledge of Lake County and provides resources to properly answer a variety of questions received from visitors. The training also provides an excellent opportunity for networking and finding those "hidden gems" that we visit during our CTA Social get-togethers throughout the year.
