Tips for Holidays at Walt Disney World 🎄

Last year, my family and I spent Thanksgiving week at . It was one of my all-time favorite trips.

Was it busy? Yes!
Would I do it again? YES! In a heartbeat!

And here’s a few things that helped us get through the week:

ps- be sure to save this one to reference for your next trip!

☆ Genie +
During the holiday weeks, Genie+ is truly an essential. The parks are crowded, theres long lines and lots of stimulus. Genie+ will help you avoid those 190 minute waits!

☆ Mindful Park Picks
has a total of 4 theme parks. So when you’re picking your theme parks during holiday weeks, keep in mind what parks will be busy on which days! For example, we opted against visiting Magic Kingdom or Epcot on Thanksgiving Day. We opted for Hollywood Studios, which wound up being perfect for our family. Your travel planner (it’s me, hi!) can you help you figure out a good fit for your family!

☆ Park Hoppers
Flexibility is key with kids at theme parks. While I don’t think park hoppers are necessary for every family every trip, they are incredibly helpful during these busy holiday weeks! The flexbility of being able to hop over to a less busy park (check wait times) is a game changer!

☆ Mobile Order Early
At utilizing mobile ordering for food in the My Disney Experience app is a game changer. And remember: you can place your order for available time window that day! So secure your lunch window early in the day so you don’t lose it.

✨Most importantly: pack your patience. Everyone is looking to create magical memories with their families and not everyone prepared like you did. Be realistic with expectations and give yourself and others grace. Remember to take in all the magic!

As the cast member to split the dole whip into 2 cups! I WISH I KNEW THIS SOONER! You’ll pay for one but get more than enough for 2 people- plus no fighting over who’s holding the cup from the kids 🙌

Such a great way to save some money! Plus, this will be a great way to use for those dining package snack credits in 2024!

🚨 2024 WDW Update!! 🚨

Starting January 9, 2024, resort guests with Park Hopper Tickets OR Annual Passholders can visit another theme park at any time of day during park hours! Subject to capacity limitations.

This is amazing news for 2024 guests, as currently guests with Park Hopper tickets need to wait until 2pm to visit another park. As of January 9, 2024, guests can decide when they want to hop. This adds a HUGE value in Park Hopper tickets!
