Did you know that WHEN you travel can save you money? Yepp! Dates play a huge part in saving vs spending. Typically summers and holidays will be more expensive whereas you’ll find yourself saving money if you’re able to travel during the school year and on weekdays. August and September are historically some of the least expensive months to visit Disney World as well but you’ll be greeted with the extreme Florida heat in exchange for that lower price.

Tip Tuesday: Don’t be afraid to take the baby to Disney! Rider Swap makes it easy for both mom and dad to take turns riding, plus older sibling will get to go twice. That’s a win, win!

Was lucky enough to spend the past 2 1/2 days at Disney and got to experience Jollywood Nights first year Christmas party! Wilderness Lodge is a dream come true at Christmas time. This deluxe resort is only a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom. It has several restaurants, an awesome pool area, and at Christmas has my personal favorite decorations of all the resorts 🎄 Staying at a deluxe resort gives you some of the best accommodations on property and perks like deluxe after hours on select nights.
Want help booking special extras like the Capture Your Moment photo session we did below? Enchanting extras like this (plus all of your dining reservations) will open up 60 days prior to your trip at 6 am est. Some are extremely competitive and will require you to book them as soon as they open that morning. Some will even already be booked full and require you to keep checking back for openings. Booking through a travel agent takes away some of that stress and planning! I can take over that early AM wake up call and try to book the experiences you want! And if something’s not available, I have an alert system I use to try and score those hard to get reservations before your trip. Next step in our Disney transportation series is boat transportation! Water taxis are offered from several of the resorts to the parks as well as the ferry that takes you from the ticket and transportation center to Magic Kingdom. Beach resort, yacht resort, and boardwalk, as well as the dolphin and swan resorts, offer boat transportation to Hollywood studios and Epcot. Wilderness lodge, the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian offer boat transportation to Magic Kingdom. Most of the boats will allow you to roll your stroller on board similarly to the monorail. However, there are a few of the boats that will require you to fold your stroller before boarding, or simply wait till the next boat arrives. Most of these resorts are in walking distance to the parks that they travel to, but after walking all day in the parks, a seat on a calm and relaxing boat ride is more than welcomed. We love the boats and will be staying at a resort that offers them on our next trip in May!

Boat transportation at Walt Disney World

Fireworks at Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours
Did you know that during the Christmas season beginning in November, Disney typically has a special ticketed holiday event. Covid has changed what this event has looked like from previous years, but it is still worth it in our opinion! When Magic Kingdom closes, they kick out the normal crowds and give you and your family a fun Christmas party! You’re allowed in before closing though so that you can watch the normal evening fireworks show as well. This year’s Very Merriest After Hours Party included: free snacks like cookies and hot chocolate, an additional Holiday themed fireworks show, a Christmas parade, a Christmas stage show, and exclusive access to most of the rides with little to no wait time! The low wait times in itself made this event worth it for us. There’s also a similar even for Halloween if that’s your preferred holiday. Plan your 2022 Christmas trip today with only a $200 deposit to start making payments toward the best holiday vacation ever!
