With the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum being a priority, we stayed right around the corner at the Holiday Inn, Capitol National Mall location. It boasted a rooftop pool and gym with Capitol building-views, Starbucks, two restaurants where kids 12 and under eat free, and was conveniently located within walking-distance from museums, the National Mall, and train station. Camelback-- we will be back in the winter! I just spent three nights there at a National Dance competition and was so impressed. The swim-up bar in the inside waterpark, wristband- door-entry system, charging all purchases to the room, being placed in a room directly next to the competition conference room, and the clean, updated, spacious rooms all made a "business" trip a vacation. With an indoor and outdoor waterpark, arcade, mirror maze, bumper cars, rock climbing wall, numerous restaurants, free entertainment for guests, mountain coaster, zipline, and more, adults and children alike will be so entertained. We were lucky enough to experience several cars passing over the bridge while we stood upon it, as the sound of vehicles rolling over the wood is meant to replicate the ominous clip-clopping of the Headless Horseman.
