It’s a big year for our program and we are always looking people to join.

We have a new high school class that is being offered during the day and we have spots in it if it works in your schedule.

We have our after school program that gives students the chance to be on commentary, run a camera or computer, and take pictures.

For younger students - we will be working with them during the school day during the Shield period and giving them the chance to work after school as well. We have a junior high media class again as well.

All in all, there’s no better time to join! There’s a role for everyone and you won’t find a more positive atmosphere to be around.

Haven’t posted on here in a while, but this is too good! First day of the inaugural Mothman Showdown Jackpot was a huge success and showed off our beautiful fairgrounds to many new faces. Extremely happy to help this morning and watch all the impressive exhibitors. If you know anyone who helped make this possible in our county, make sure to give them a big thank you!! 🐷🐮🐐🐑

Monday is definitely one of my favorite days! The horse show and hog show are my two favorite to watch and of course, the pageant is always a good time! Most exciting time of the year, and i hope to see you there!

The 2022 Mason County Fair Parade still had an amazing crowd and amount of floats, even despite the rain! Although the weather made it a lot harder to take photos, it wouldn’t be the fair parade without the fair queen candidates!

May not be the best photo, but i had the best time! I was extremely fortunate enough to lead informational tours of Point Pleasant to guest of the American Queen! Our town was overwhelmed with love that day and heard many “i’m so excited to come back”💙

Cannot wait to help give tours of our beautiful town!

Docking this Friday at the Point Pleasant Riverfront Park - The American Queen! She will dock the morning of August 5, and leave about 5 pm.

Their passengers will be touring the area in the big greyhound buses!

No one is allowed on the boat or buses, but you can definitely walk the Riverfront and get all of the photos you want of the boat! Share your pictures with us too!

The Country Kitchen is my favorite place to eat during the fair (and not just because of the AC 😉) If you haven’t tried it yet, this is your chance!!

We excited to announce that the Country Kitchen will be open during the Mason County Fair! Hours will be 12pm-7pm Monday to Saturday. Menu will be Chicken Noodles/rolls, Pinto Beans and Corn Bread, Hotdogs, Nachos, BBQ, Desserts, chips and drinks! (menu subject to change based on availability) Come over and see us while you are at the fair!

The public is invited to the Mason County Fair Queen Reception to celebrate our 2021 Mason County Fair Queen Kira Henderson and meet the 2022 Contestants.

The reception will be held at the First Church of God Activity Building in Point Pleasant. Social Time will begin at 6 pm with the program starting at 6:30 pm.

2021 Mason County Fair Queen Kira Henderson

Kira Henderson is the daughter of Jim and Andrea Henderson. She is a junior at Marshall University studying nursing at St. Mary’s School of nursing. She is a member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, an 11 year member of 4-H and 5 year FFA member. Kira currently shows a steer at the fair. She has shown market meat goats and exhibited dairy cattle for 8 years.

Finally!

I know...that's how I feel too, and I am so ready to see your faces and your kids again at my new location!

I can't tell you how excited I am for you all to see the HUGE space I have. Makes you wonder how this all fit back on 4th Street!

New location features:
- Bigger play area for kids
- A lounge area for adults (I am not joking!)
- Baby room for all things baby
- Lower hanging top racks
- and so much more!

On the outside:
- Plenty of parking
- No steps!
- Wheelchair/stroller friendly!

Stop in and see me! I will be open 10 am to 6 pm this Saturday.

New location days/hours will be announced next week in case you can't make it out this weekend. But you really can't miss it!

Store is completely stocked with more things than I have ever had before. This is THE TIME to shop!!

Thank you again to those who have supported me during the closure and to my new friends I have made! I am so pleased with this new space and I know you will be too!

A huge success on the Belle of Cincinnati Dinner Cruise.

This year will mark one of the best cruises in the history of the River Museum, the weather, food, band, crew and passengers made this not only a record fund raising event but clearly was an evening that had everyone absolutely amazed!

Remarks from long time dinner cruise passengers and first timers included comments like. This was the best cruise ever, amazing, when can we go again and simple thank you’s for keeping the numbers manageable and the atmosphere perfect. We put the needs of our guests first and in the end our guests showed their appreciation and ended this event with the highest donations ever from a dinner cruise to support our beloved museum.

We had dancing, music, food and the room to truly enjoy it.

We are truly blessed.

It's almost fair time!

We are (once again) proud to be the official live stream for the market shows this year! We started this two years ago and have always received a great response.

These live streams help those family members that can't make it be able to watch. We plan on having a second camera this year to help out as well.

With that said - sponsorships help make this possible! It helps put the show online for people to watch and helps the Point Pleasant Live program as we are finally upgrading our classroom to make it the best that we possibly can.

The big question- Who Will Win?
The Mason County Fair Queen Pageant has been a tradition at the fair for decades, each year bringing in more and more wonderful contestants! Last year’s Queen, Kira Henderson, blew us away with her poise and participation at the fair. This isn’t going to be a pageant you want to miss! The Big day is August 8th, starting at 8:30pm!
