Helping with all of your vacations big and small makes me incredibly happy. However, my job is especially sweet when the travels involve memory-making with loved ones in literal paradise🌺

It’s destination Oahu, Hawaii for an extended family of 14 ages 6-70 flying from different points in the U.S. next June to meet up for this adventure. This exceptional vacation features 9 nights surrounded by the diverse Hawaiian landscape of beautiful beaches and majestic mountains to big city vibes next to 🌊crystal clear waters. Our travels change us.

Several years ago, I was on a flight by myself with a window seat. As I was waiting for the passengers to file on and find their respective rows, I noticed a U.S. serviceman boarding in his military uniform.

As we waited for the passengers to settle, the pilot came on the intercom to give us the normal details of our flight. At the end of the announcement, the pilot explained that we had the the distinct honor and privilege of accompanying a fallen soldier on the final leg of his journey home. He was being escorted by the serviceman I had seen boarding earlier. I paused and reflected on the enormity of this loss and thought about it throughout the entire flight. Our journeys had briefly intersected.

When the plane landed several hours later, the uniformed serviceman on the plane quickly exited. From my window seat, I witnessed the most private of moments. The greeting of the fallen soldier’s family, the casket being carefully taken from the plane and the salute and acknowledgement of the sacrifice made for all of us💔

I reflect on that moment a lot. On Memorial Day, when I say the Pledge of Allegiance and various other times unexpectedly. I share it with my students, and chances are good that if you know me personally, I probably have shared it with you too. That small moment had a profound effect on me. Our freedom is definitely not free.

It makes me incredibly happy to feature photos of my clients enjoying their special vacations. This picture-perfect😍multigenerational family just returned from Alaska on the Discovery Princess.

Some of their favorites included Glacier Bay National Park and the train ride to from Skagway into the heart of the Yukon🛤

They were spoiled onboard with the Princess Premier package giving them access to fabulous specialty drinks🍸and dining throughout their entire cruise.

The kids club onboard was a huge hit and gave their son a chance to learn more about Alaska on days at sea.

🍭Sweet Disney days are ahead for a family taking a vacation and making the most of the holiday magic and nice weather at Disney World💫this November. A first visit for two lucky🍀 kiddos and a memory to cherish for the adults, excited to enjoy Disney again this time as parents!
