Our journey into North Dakota began near Devil's Lake. We visited the White Horse Hill National Game Preserve. We saw bison and prairie dogs and conquered the White Horse Hill Challenge; 200 steps up to a beautiful view! 🦬
Sadly, our time with our son Noah came to an end and we dropped him off at the airport. We all miss him so much but are excited about his new adventures.

Adventure Day #2
We drove from Silver Bay to Grand Marais and enjoyed many stops along the way. That was a lot of rhyming! Our favorite stops included:
*Palisade Head in Tettegouche State Park
*Voyageurs Brewing Company for lunch
*Artist Point in Grand Marais
*Cross River Falls in Temperance River State Park
We ended the day with a sunset campfire on Black Beach. It was perfect!

The North Shore in Minnesota quickly became a new favorite. It begins in Duluth and continues north to Grand Portage along the Lake Superior shoreline. We stayed in Silver Bay at Black Beach Campground. Our first adventure day began with a few maple lattes at a local coffee shop. 🥤🥤 We drove to Gooseberry Falls State Park and enjoyed the waterfalls and a short hike. We had a picnic lunch at Silver Bay Marina and some of us climbed around rocks while others savored sitting in the warm sun next to the crystal-clear water.

We made it to Chester Woods Park in Minnesota just in time to celebrate Father's Day with ice cream sundaes! We had a really nice stay, catching up with some fellow travelers who are (hopefully) temporarily off the road.

We have been visiting Devil's Lake Wisconsin for many years, so it was a treat to bring our travel buddies along this time. We hiked, rock jumped, swam, picnicked, and hung out on the beach.

We spent about a week in the Wisconsin Dells area. We had some interesting weather which included a tornado warning while we were at a movie theater! 🌪️😳 But, thankfully, we had a super-hot and sunny day at Mount Olympus Theme Park. We enjoyed go-carts, roller coasters, water rides, and a lazy river! 🎢🌊

We able to squeeze in some time to see a few old friends and enjoy a few meals with our fellow fulltime travelers before leaving for Wisconsin.

We spent one more day in Chicago visiting Joe and Noah's office and touring some more of the city. We ended the night with dinner with a few co-workers.

We met up with a few more families at a campground in IL and had an epic day in Chicago. We walked the Riverwalk and Lakefront, ate lunch at Lou Malnatis Pizza, picked up some Garrett's popcorn, and ended the day with a Cubs game!

When some good friends invited us to travel with them through our old stomping grounds, we readily agreed. Our first stop together was Indiana Dunes State Park. We swam in Lake Michigan, hiked the Dunes spent lots of time around the campfire, and enjoyed the most spectacular sunset.

We spent the rest of May in Virginia visiting Becky's sister and family, in West Virginia doing a bit of resting and a little hiking, in Ohio visiting Cedar Point, and in Indiana Amish Country. We didn't take a ton of pictures but really enjoyed the family time!

Sadly, our time in Florida came to an end, but fortunately, our next stop was Camp Lejeune NC where our daughter and son-in-law are stationed. We spent lots of time on the beach and got to celebrate our grandson, Jesse's first birthday!

Our last day was at Hollywood Studios and Beaches and Cream for lunch! Some of us spent the last few hours at Animal Kingdom riding Everest repeatedly! 🗻🗻

Day Six! Another day hanging out around Fort Wilderness. Joe made a huge breakfast with thin pancakes, bacon and eggs. More pool time with Mickey treats and fun!

Day Four! Animal Kingdom (Hollywood Studios for Julia and Sam) and Magic Kingdom! An epic achievement was accomplished by Sam who not only touched the possum, but smacked his face!

A few weeks back, we were able to check off a big bucket list item, swimming with Manatees! It was an amazing experience, and we have all decided that one time was just not enough! 🤿🏊🏼

Our top ten in the Florida Keys:
1. Lots of super fun friend time!
2. and 3. Renting a boat with friends twice!
4. Paddleboarding to nearby, tiny Conch Island
5. Fishing
6. Paddleboarding in the Mangroves at John Pennekamp
7. Visiting the Manatees in the Marina several times a day
8. Sea Creatures: We saw stingrays, starfish, crabs, and many more.
9. Gorgeous Sunsets
10. Key West

We had our son Noah (19) with us for about 7 weeks and we had blast! He is really funny and fun to be around! We especially enjoyed watching his relationship with Sophie and Lily grow and bloom. 🌺
Top ten moments:

9. Joe having someone to talk with about sports!
8. Showing him some of our favorite campgrounds
7. Disney World
6. Watching him make new friends
5. Watching him catch fish with his bare hands.

3. Watching How I Met Your Mother with him in the evenings.
2. Seeing the look of adoration in Sophie and Lily's eyes. 😍
