Did you know the fountain at Millcreek Park once sat on Clarence Mackay's Harbor Hill estate? He was a major figure in the development of the telegraph. As times changed the fountain was vandalized and unrepaired. JC Nicholas brought it to KC where it was installed in 1960.

New heart design for 2026. Artist call coming soon. 150 will be on display

Parade of Hearts is back and we’re introducing a bold new sculpture and theme for 2026. This new shape and theme, “Hearts of Unity,” symbolizes Kansas City’s unifying spirit and our place on the global stage.

150 artist-designed fiberglass sculptures will be placed throughout the Kansas City region, spanning 7 counties on both sides of the state line. Each sculpture design will serve as both a public art landmark and an economic driver, strategically positioned to increase foot traffic and stimulate local businesses.

Beginning June 9th, artists are invited to submit designs, with the selection process concluding early next fall. More information on the Call For Artists will be announced soon.

Welcome to my new adventure!

Some of you may know me from my cake business Sherrie’s Cake magic. I have served the KC area for 16 years. While I still enjoy the artistic creation of cakes and working from home, I’ve developed a strong desire to go outside and play…….. with 20 to 53 new friends at a time……. on a bus.

If you want to keep up to date with all the insider scoop you can sign up for the email on the web site home page.

I consider myself a cross between tour guide and travel agent. What I’ve discovered is that groups of people not only want to take the stress free tour but they also want to PICK where to go. I can do that for you in the price point you want as well, with lots of options. I do not charge to create a tour, it’s all part of the process that I love.

I’m happy to answer all your questions.
