After one look at this awesome bull Hunter Darren M. Knew this was the bull he wanted to put his Nevada tag on. After making a move on him and getting set up a snow storm moved and didn’t let up. A couple days later the bull was relocated and Darren made it count.

We were fortunate enough to hunt another deer tag with hunter Phil G. this season. With time winding down on the last day of the season we finally found one of our target bucks that we had been hunting with the Phil the past couple years. After an all day stalk this old desert buck stood up out of his bed with minutes of shooting time left on the last day of the season and the rest history.

This was special hunt for us, not only has Matt J. become a great friend over the years but he is a Marine Veteran who served multiple tours to Iraq . We hunted hard sifting through a lot of broken bulls looking for that next level bull. When we caught this bull rebedding mid day in a canopy of pine nuts we knew this was a special bull for special guy and the hunt was on. Some hunts certainly go into my memory bank more than others but hunting with this young man right here may never be topped. We hunted hard for 7 days and had a lot of highs and lows passing on a few deer that many would have questioned for a first time junior hunter looking for something special.
