Sounds like a Harry Potter spell, right? This stunning bookstore in Porto, Portugal, is said to have inspired J.K. Rowling’s vision for the Hogwarts Grand Staircase and Flourish & Blotts in Diagon Alley. It has such incredible wood detail and a gorgeous red spiral staircase.

We LOVED making this stop while in Porto. Livraria Lello is a must see for book lovers and Potterheads! Is it said to be the most beautiful bookstore in the world! 📚

You must have tickets to enter - which helps manage crowds entering this beautiful stop in Porto. Experience the magic for yourself. 📕

🇫🇷 Tomorrow is a monumental day in Paris. Notre-Dame de Paris will reopen! I’ve been there, it’s pretty fantastic and the whole world will be celebrating as it reopens. Saturday is the reopening ceremony, Sunday will be the first mass and Monday it will open to the public.

After a devastating fire 5 years ago, a team set out to repair and reopen this beautiful cathedral in record time. They replaced the spire with a rooster to represent the French people, resilience and hope.

We suspect crowds will grow and people will be prioritizing a visit to the cathedral during their trips to Paris. Know before you GO!

WHAT TO KNOW ‼️

1️⃣ You should reserve a time to enter, but it’s free.

2️⃣ Keep an eye out for a new app for e-guides and more.

3️⃣ They have set a new path for exploring during your visit with approx 10 main spots.

4️⃣ The best time of day to visit is when a mass is NOT happening, unless you want to experience the mass itself.

5️⃣ Notre-Dame is still a place of worship - no food, remove hats, silence your phone and respect those praying or worshiping

LISBON 🇵🇹
What a whirlwind through Lisbon - just look at all of the colors! We toured the city corner to corner scouting beautiful sites, a variety of hotels and delicious dining reccs.

We spent two of the days outside of the city exploring small towns so we know which ones match with what clients are looking for, which ones to skip and which ones everyone MUST see!

Some of the small towns we visited were Nazare, Obidos, Cascais and Sintra. Each one had a different style, landscape and foods to try.

We ate our fair share of fresh fish and tried all the Portugal wines. Food and transportation are relatively inexpensive in Portugal. One of our Uber rides only cost us €3,80!!!

Portugal has its distinct differences from the rest of Europe: its wine/food, its people and its history!

We went to Lido island in Venice by public boat. My favorite beach in the U.S. is Lido Beach in Sarasota, Florida so we had to go see its namesake. I wanted my kids to be able to say they put their feet in the Adriatic Sea.
