If you’re in Miami, you’ve GOT to check out —a Cuban-American spot serving up comfort food with serious flavor. After a 6am flight and a few hours to explore the sunny city before heading to the Port of Miami, Chug's is EXACTLY the introduction to Miami. Located in the heart of the Cocowalk (in case you're also looking to shop the morning away), the option to sit on their patio and sit by the fountain. Our recommendation is, hands down, the Cast Iron Pancake. Fluffy, buttery, and topped with a HUGE dollop of butter and syrup...you won't want to leave any crumb behind. Paired with a Café con Leche (with vanilla and oat milk, but whatever floats your boat), you'll need a few hours simply to digest after such a hearty treat! Whether you’re brunching or grabbing lunch, Chug’s will hit the spot! 🥞

As we come back from traveling on the majestic Norwegian Joy (yes, that picture is PURELY no filter), we look forward to sharing numerous cruise tips that are incredibly helpful to know before setting sail!
First Cruise Ship Tip? ALWAYS Carry Cash!
When you’re cruising, don’t just rely on your card....cash is a LIFESAVER!
🌻Even if tips are included, it’s always nice to have cash for exceptional service or small gestures.
🌻 Some local vendors and tour guides only accept cash, especially in smaller ports.
🌻Not all spots take cards—cash helps you enjoy local treats without a hitch! While visiting Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian Cruise Line's private island), the local beach bars were only taking cash!
🌻 Taxis and shuttles (if not using a ride app or booked ahead of time) often prefer cash and it’s handy for quick rides.

Needless to say, don't get caught empty-handed. Stash some cash and cruise with confidence! ⚓

✨NEW ROAD-TRIP UNLOCKED✨
Known as the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock n' roll, Memphis boasts legendary music landmarks like Beale Street, Sun Studio, and Graceland, Elvis Presley’s iconic estate. Beyond music, the city has a rich cultural and historical significance, particularly in the Civil Rights Movement offering a powerful experience.

DAY ONE:
🌻From Louisville, KY to Nashville, TN. Grabbing a cup of delicious caffeine from (if you're feeling fun, check out their vintage clothing snap a road trip photo in their photobooth!)
🌻Nashville, TN to Memphis, TN. Do and drive around if you're feeling up to it, but there is no judgement if you just roll into town and crash at your Air BNB asap.
DAY TWO:
🌻Memphis, TN to Graceland Mansion. The earlier the visit to Graceland, the better! Typically you can see the entirety of the ground in 2 hours. Not to miss includes the Mansion [highlights being the infamous Jungle Room, the Music Room, and the Meditation Garden, where he is laid to rest], a massive collection of memorabilia, including his gold records, jumpsuits, Elvis' legendary car collection, the Lisa Marie Airplane, and the ’68 Comeback Special Exhibit – A tribute to one of Elvis’ most famous performances. You can even grab a PB & Banana at Glady's diner.
🌻Graceland Mansion to LUNCH. If the PB & Banana sandwich wasn't enough for you, we recommend checking out the Four Way Soul Food restaurant. Black owned and LGBTQ+ friendly, this staple oozes soul (the catfish is where it is AT!). The museum is located at the Lorraine Motel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. The highlights of what should not be missed are the Lorraine Motel Room 306 (the preserved room where Dr. King spent his final hours), "A Culture of Resistance" Exhibit (covering slavery, reconstruction, and early civil rights movements), the Montgomery Bus Boycott Exhibit, the Freedom Rides & Sit-Ins Exhibit, and so many more exhibits that could have you exploring for hours.
🌻National Civil Rights Museum to Beale Street. Again...no judgement if the two museums in a day wipes you out. HOWEVER, if you're still feeling up to exploring, go mosey on down to Beale Street. Keep in mind, Beale Street is a full on SENSORY explosion so if you're not up for it, definitely wait for the next day. Beale Street is the heart of the blues so try to stop by at least one of the many historic clubs such as B.B. King’s Blues Club, Rum Boogie Café, or Blues City Café. Look down as you stroll the sidewalks to see plaques honoring music legends. A. Schwab’s General Store is a quirky shop (dating back to 1876) sells everything from Memphis souvenirs, voodoo trinkets, and homemade sodas.
🌻Beale Street to DINNER. Before leaving Beale Street, head over to Dyer’s Burgers. It is a must-try eatery famous for deep-fried burgers cooked in 100+ year-old grease! If that isn't enough to send you to bed early, I don't know what is!
DAY THREE:
🌻Memphis, TN to BRUNCH. For a brunch/coffee combo, check out Biscuit and Jams for the shrimp and grits (...and the mimosa flight if you're ready to start your day off fresh).
🌻BRUNCH to Sun Studio. The Sun Studio tour is a must! This is a legendary recording studio in Memphis, Tennessee, often called the "Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll." A knowledgeable guide will walk you through the studio’s history, sharing legendary stories about Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, and more. You’ll see original recordings, artifacts, and even hear snippets of famous tracks recorded there. Make sure to take a photo outside in front of the iconic Sun Studio sign or stand in the very spot where Elvis recorded his first song.
🌻Beale Street to Paris, KY. Stop in Paris for a pit stop and gawk at a Eiffel Tower replica (on brand with its town's name).
🌻Paris, KY to Bardstown, KY. As if to scream 'HONEY WE'RE BACK IN KENTUCKY', stretch your legs by walking by the world's largest bourbon barrel!
