Day 3 in Ísafjörður, Iceland 🇮🇸 – Waterfalls, Tunnels, and Westfjords Charm

What a day! We took a bus ride through one of the most incredible tunnels I’ve ever seen—about 7 miles long, cutting right through the mountains of the Westfjords. Some stretches were so narrow that only one vehicle could pass at a time.

Our destination? A beautiful Icelandic Gongumannafoss waterfalls just outside Ísafjörður. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes, it felt like we stepped into a postcard.

Back in town, we explored Ísafjörður—this harbor town nestled between towering mountains.

Started the day with a beautiful horseback ride about 20 minutes outside Reykjavík. We got to meet the amazing Icelandic horses and learn about their unique gaits—especially the smooth tölt!
The trail took us through quiet forest paths and lava rock fields, with flowers blooming all around. Such a peaceful and scenic way to start the day!

Exploring the streets of Iceland, I’ve been capturing some incredible artwork found on the buildings – street art in places you wouldn't expect! From vibrant murals on inner walls to unique pieces tucked away in unexpected corners, each one tells a different story. It’s amazing how art can transform even the smallest of spaces. Had an unforgettable birthday in Iceland on May 23! Landed at 9 AM, took a taxi straight to the Blue Lagoon, and saw the aftermath of the volcanic eruption—roads destroyed and volcanic ash everywhere. Such an amazing experience to witness nature’s power up close. Ended the day relaxing and soaking in the beauty of it all. Grateful for this adventure!
