I made this series of videos for my sister's students but I thought many of you would enjoy these tomb tours as well! As I mentioned in my other videos, I have a favorite tomb... this is it! It's massive, extremely colorful and detailed, and so well preserved. But what is so unique is the unfinished portion where you can see the designs outlined on the walls but the carving and painting was never completed. This is an exciting archaeological find and gives us so much insight into the painstaking process! The king likely died before it was finished so the work had to stop... cool, huh? This tomb was only very recently opened to the public. They try to limit the daily number of visitors, though which is why this tomb requires a separate entry ticket in addition to the Valley Of The Kings admission. The ticket is quite expensive compared to the rest... I think it worked out to about $40 USD per person. In my opinion, it's worth it. Again, there is a lot to see in this one.
