We have been on the beautiful Crystal Symphony since Monday and are very impressed with the ship, the people, the food and the service. Here is the pool deck, in the early evening, without people (most of the time it is well used, but not unpleasantly crowded). Our 10-day trip to Alaska was fabulous from beginning to end. Our rented gear kept us toasty and able to enjoy the dogsledding, hot springs, ice carving, Denali Star train from Fairbanks to Anchorage, and ride in a helicopter to a couple of beautiful glaciers. In addition to a porcupine, moose, grizzly bears, foxes and wolves, we saw a wild bald eagle at the Alaska wildlife conservation center. Animals who arrive there are found injured or orphaned and live the rest of their lives at the center. So cool to see these wild animals up close and not in a zoo. The grizzlies alone have 20 acres to roam!
