Happy to see the Legacy is continuing to stay up to date with all the bells and whistles to collect fish in Alaska.
Recently installed a brand new crane, and a full rebuild of collection gear. 👏👏👏

FISHERMEN IN ALASKA:
Government mandate.

You must fill this out 3 forms by 3pm March 24th.

Contact me if you need any help, for a small fee I can set you up with it all, so you are safe from any possible fee. I've spoke with someone at the governers office, and they gave me the rundown on what is needed.

"This mandate supersedes any local government travel restrictions.
The failure to follow this order is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000, or imprisonment of not more than one year, or both pursuant to Alaska Statute 12.55.035 and Alaska Statute 12.55.135 Authority: AS 26.23.020(g)(7)"

Happy to say that with a second crane and a returning crew the FV Republic will be collecting salmon in the 2019 season from King Cove to Bristol Bay and the Prince William Sound. We look forward to serving our fishermen again this summer.

Looks like we’re hitting the road Wednesday or Thursday next week. We’ll be heading across the Gulf of Mexico to the Panama Canal on our way up to Bellingham, WA.
If anyone is interested in an awesome trip and some good ol’ wheel watch time, give us a shout. 😀

The first above-freezing day in roughly 5 weeks. Happy to be on the job.

Lopez Fisheries would like to officially announce the newest vessel to the fleet, the F/V Legacy. The Legacy is a new project started by us roughly 3.5 months ago in October. It is a steel vessel that measures in at 58' x 26' with a hold capacity of 180-200,000lbs. We look forward to completing it and sailing North to Alaska in April.
We will try to keep track of the progress here on our Facebook. (It is not in a shipyard, we are building it ourselves in a tiny town in Oregon.)
Vendors please contact Thomas via this page email. Thank you
