🦄🏍️🎢 🧙‍♂️You know when an attraction is so epic everyone and their unicorn wants their chance to ride? That’s Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. No joke, it’s as popular as frozen Butterbeer on a summer afternoon. What makes getting on so tricky is that it’s not included in Universal’s Express Pass. So you’ve got to wait in line and it gets LONG. (Unless perhaps if you’re on a VIP tour, but that’s a conversation for another day.)

While this attraction does offer a single rider line, chances are you want to ride with your family or friends. 😅👟🏋️‍♀️ Show of hands, who does “Disney training” pre-trip? Whether that means breaking in the new sneakers by walking the dog an extra lap, parking farther away at the grocery or REALLY getting after it and trying to match the massive amount of steps you know you’ll achieve in Walt Disney World-what do you do to prepare?

On my last trip in December, I walked 19,736 steps in one day! There's no place I'd rather walk!

❤️‍🩹A painful blister or sore feet can put a big damper on your trip. It’s important to me that everyone returns home with only the happiest of memories, so please heed this warning! Anyone have any tales of woe to share about new shoes or underestimating the daily step count? I'll share mine in the comments!

DISNEY UPDATE: Disney has announced the new Genie/Genie+ into the My Disney Experience. It has not gone live yet but will this fall. And most questions are on the Genie+ so keep scrolling :p

Free Genie:

• Plan/Map your day so you can follow itinerary updates

• Get tips and tricks right to your phone

• Access Forecasted wait times

• Mobile order food

• Reserve and check-in for table service dining

• Access to a "virtual assistant" for questions

Genie+ ($15/day per ticket )

• Lightning Lane (virtual line for one attraction at a time) This is replacing the FastPass system

• Audio experiences

• Photo enhancements

Updates are coming to the Disability Access Pass but the system itself is not changing.

Disney planning is not for the faint of heart but when you know what to expect and how to navigate the tools, it makes for a magical trip.
