Q: Why are your cruises scheduled so far in advance?

A: Interrobang Compass announces cruises 12-14 months in advance and in a few cases 14-16 months in advance. We do this because of internal planning cycles and the pricing structures of cruises by the cruiselines in general. The farther out we plan, the more cabins we can secure at better prices, keeping your final cost lower.

Q: Your company is always pushing reservations 8-12 months in advance. Why do you do this? I cannot plan that far in advance.

A: There are many reasons. Our contracts require large ballon payments that Interrobang must make to stay on track with cruise lines, suppliers and celeb guests. Early payments keeps everyone happy.

We also realize that the pricing is higher than many cruises and most of our passengers are on a payment plan. The earlier you reserve, the lower the payments. There is always a final payment deadline and it can range from 60-120 days prior to the sail date

An important reason is also, planning. It takes months to plan our unique immersive experiences and we need to know several months in advance how many passengers we have.

Q: I cannot plan my vacation that far in advance due to work or the unknown. What happens if I cancel?

A: No one likes to cancel. Sometimes life happens and a person feels they must cancel their plans. Every cancelation incurs some type of cost and expense to the vendor whether it be cruise line, airline, hotel or even Interrobang. Due to these growing costs, Interrobang did go to a 100% cancallation penalty 14 days after reservation which is in concordance with several of our contracts and our preferred travel insurance provider, Faye.

Should you cancel, your travel insurance may cover your losses.

A few facts on the ship we are on right now. Our last evening.

And we are off on an adventure. This experience is going to be great. Travel Agent inspection cruise on the largest cruise ship in the world. Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas!

In about an hour we will arrive in Port Canaveral. This is the future of the this type of cruising. Large mega ships.

From Wikipedia:

"Wonder of the Seas measures 1,188 feet (362 m) in length and has a gross tonnage of 236,857 across 18 decks. This ship accommodates 5,734 passengers at double occupancy, & up to a maximum capacity of 6,988 passengers, as well as a 2,300 crew. There are 16 decks for guest use, 20 restaurants, 4 pools and 2,867 cabins.[4]

Wonder of the Seas has eight different "neighborhoods", including an all new suite neighborhood.[7]

Facilities include a children's water park, a children's playground, a full-size basketball court, an ice-skating rink, a surf simulator, a zip line that is 10 decks high, a 1400-seat theater, an outdoor aquatic theater with 30-foot (9.1 m) high platforms, and two 43-foot (13 m) rock-climbing walls.[8][9][10][11][12]

As with all Oasis-class ships, one of the special features on board is the Central Park, which consists of over 10,000 real plants.[13]"

Did they say 10,00 living plants? Yes they did, inside the ship is an area called Central Park, it's an outdoor atrium inside the middle of the ship. A living wall hosts many of the plants. We will get pictures. More later today!

We got a phone call a couple months ago from an account executive with Royal Caribbean Group. They were intrigued by the type of travel that this little company plans and executes. They were very interesred in securing future business. So much that she offered us an Agent only welcome event for 2 nights with absolutely no charges, comp drinks and all dining is included. An expanded ship tour essentially with everything complimentary for 1 agent and 1 guest. All the Account Executives from RC will be on board with their selected agents.

At first, we were like, "yeah, sure, we will go." We really didn't expect a followup. We got an email last week, telling us it was time to reserve.

Kind of excited now! Wonder of the Seas. Royal's newest ship will be have a home Home Port in Port Canaveral and this is the Agents only tour! 2 nights all comped. Perfect day at CocoCay, All comped! All staterooms will be berthed randomly, so I could end up in an interior or large suite! Let's see how this turns out. The ship has been sailing since March 2022.

There will be lots of pics and some video! It will happen about the time folks a singing carols and making holiday arrangements so stay tuned!
