Not only do the rotational dining venues have unique themes, including Marvel, Coco and Frozen, but there is a whole night where everyone is encouraged to put on their seafaring best and become pirates! DCL even surprises you with some accessories if you didn’t pack your screen accurate Jack Sparrow costume for your cruise. After dinner, you can swing up to the enjoy the Pirate Night Deck Party and have a blast with your crew!

Epcot in Walt Disney World has four incredible festivals every year, and choosing which time of year to visit can be tough!

Festival of the Arts is the first festival of the year, taking place in January and early February. It’s great for anyone with a more adventurous palate, lovers of visual arts and live entertainment. The food booths feature more unique offerings, like the Deconstructed Key Lime Pie or the Sushi Donut! It also hosts the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, starring Broadway favorites including Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Jelani Remy (The Lion King).

Festival of the Holidays is the final festival of the year, taking place in late November through the end of December. This festival showcases holidays from around the world! Not only can you sample some delicious holiday foods, like the Peanut Stew at the Outpost or the Pastelón from Nochebuena Cocina, but you can even take part in the Cookie Stroll and receive a sweet surprise! You can also see the Holiday Storytellers around World Showcase, creating festive magic with tales from Father Christmas in the UK, Le Befana in Italy, the Daruma Storyteller in Japan and many more!

Hi! I’m Jessica and I have been bitten by the travel bug for most of my life. I grew up with Walt Disney World as a second home, participated in the Disney College Program and even had a Disney World wedding to the man of my dreams.

I have also been able to spend extensive time seeing the world on cruise ships and on the road with a Broadway National Tour. My husband and I love to cosplay and create our own characters. My love of travel mixes with my love of making when I can combine trips with attending amazing fan events across the country.

I love to help other couples, friends and solo travelers alike create their perfect vacations, whether it’s detailed planning around the Disney Parks, relaxing on the high seas, or finding special events for every fandom. Trips like these should be a time to connect with your loved ones, find some peace and quiet, discover new passions or all of the above! I’m here to take the stress away from planning so you can have the best possible experience!

This stunning view is courtesy of the adult only whirlpool at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa on the island of Oahu. My husband and I enjoyed many Hawaiian sunsets from this spot on our honeymoon.

We were blown away by how beautiful this resort is. It blends Disney and Hawaiian culture perfectly. You can meet Mickey in his Hawaiian best and dine on locally inspired cuisine. You can even learn Hawaiian words and phrases while enjoying a cocktail at The ‘Ōlelo Room.

Every morning, we’d grab a coffee and some lounge chairs with ocean views. Then, we spent most of our time on the water slides and in Waikolohe Stream, enjoying the lazy river that winds around the resort. Who knew Disney could be so relaxing!

This 18+ cruise takes an elevated spin on classic cruising. No buffets, no single use plastic, and no kids!

All dining, gratuities, WiFi, group fitness classes, entertainment, and essential drinks (think water, coffee, soda) are included on every voyage. You can dine at any restaurant onboard and all your meals are made to order!

They’ve even improved on drink packages with Bar Tab. Now you can pre-purchase drinks without forcing your whole cabin to buy a drink package. And it can be used on Virgin Voyages private island in Bimini, Bahamas.

Choosing a favorite theme park feels like an impossible task. On one hand, Universal has The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. On the other hand, Disney World has Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Disney World has 4 theme parks and 2 water parks. Universal has 2 theme parks and 1 water park. Both have a shopping and dining area just outside of the parks. And they each have multiple resorts on property that give you early entrance to the theme parks.

Universal Orlando is also on the verge of opening a brand new park, Epic Universe. This park opens in May and will feature Super Mario World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: The Ministry of Magic.

But then Disney World is expanding their parks over the coming years, too. We’re getting a Monster’s Inc. land, Cars land, and a Villains land! I can’t wait to see how these come to life.

Honestly, it’s neck and neck for me but Disney just barely squeezes out on top. I love Velocicoaster, Halloween Horror Nights, and CityWalk at Universal but Disney wins because of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, drinking around the world, and Cinderella’s Castle.

I’m Kristen and I’ve been with Carry on the Magic Vacations for nearly 2 years! I grew up with a love of travel thanks to countless family road trips all over the US.
