Five years ago when I started this business, if you would have told me this, I would have laughed in your face.

In fact, the month after I stopped wrestling with God and with my insecurities and decided to announce to the whole Facebook world what I was doing, the whole world shut down.

So, I remember asking God why he was letting me make a complete fool of myself.

I mean my biggest idol is the approval of others ( working on that one in Wednesday night Bible study), so I really just wanted to crawl under a rock.

Well, God has sure showed me that it’s not about me or my circumstances. And, goodness gracious, I am an insecure, introvert, and homebody who doesn’t really like to fly.

I mean, I’m not anything special But, with God’s help, He has used my gifts and talents to help many couples and families see places and get to do things they never thought possible.

Little did I know that my background in accounting and teaching was preparing me for this very point in my life.

And, I am so very grateful to all of you who have used me and referred me to your friends and family.

And I am also grateful for those of you who don’t really need my help, but find what you want and book through me anyway because you want to support your local small business.

Cheers to 2024! And, if it’s Gods will, I hope to accomplish some pretty big goals in 2025. Stay tuned!

A few things to consider before contacting me. A little straight talk sprinkled with lots of 💕

👉 I work solely on commission. PLEASE don’t let me go throgh ALL the work of looking for the best options and prices for you when you KNOW that you will not be able to make a deposit quickly. If you need to know deposit options, then let’s talk about those first.

YOU don’t want to work for free and neither do I 🤷‍♀️ Please don’t make me change my business plan.

👉My turnaround time is not usually immediate. Its WAVE season and I have a list of people ready to book. Just because you contact me does not move you to the front of the line. Not to mention, I have current clients who have already booked who depend on me and repeat clients who will always come first. And, remember if you get out of line, just like school, sometimes you have to back to the end 😬

👉 Know what you can spend. I will be able to tell you if it’s possible up front without even looking. I have found that people who say “ I don’t have a budget” really do 🤔

👉 And, PLEASE if you are just price shopping let me know that up front. I DO NOT COMPETE with other agents or online booking engines. I work hard to make sure you get the best price/value/perks, and most of the time the prices I see are the prices you see. And, you can rest assured I keep a watchful eye out if something’s changes for your benefit. Thinking I can beat what you see online is not a reason to contact me. I’m not a miracle worker 🤣

Most importantly, when you do book with me, you can rest assured that you are in good hands.

In fact, I just had a fellow colleague say “ you do all that for your clients for free?” And, yes, yes I do. I’m not your typical travel agent.

I love my job. And, I love the relationships I build with people I’m working with.

This one made me cry.

These two ladies share such a special bond , and oh how I enjoyed helping them with this very special trip.

After Christmas, they hopped on a plane and headed to Switzerland and Italy for an adventure of a lifetime.

✅ Took a cable car to the top of Mount Pilatus

✅ Experienced an epic train ride on the famous Bernina Express 🚞

✅ Rang in 2025 in the beautiful Venice

🥂 To making memories that will last a lifetime and amazing pictures that will be cherished forever 💕 and many more adventures to come

Today was all about the beautiful island of Grenada 🇬🇩 Special thanks to the Grenada Tourism Authority for hosting me today!

This is our 3rd trip to the island, but there is so much to do and see! It was a very long, but productive day. We left around 8 am and got back to at about 630 pm 😬

🤩 Saw some incredible boutique type luxury resorts

🤩 Scoped out some unbelievable room options that would be great for a very special trip

🤩 Met my new favorite taxi driver/ tour operator for my travelers. He is awesome and full of information!

If you are looking for a very special experience where you can truly escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, then a smaller boutique resort just might be for you.

You won’t find a swim up bar or a party pool at these resorts, but you will find privacy, relaxation and unbelievable personalized service.

Go ahead and ask me what I did today☀️🕶️ and I don’t even feel guilty about it.

I answered very few texts and did not respond to any emails. I have not even opened my computer today ( yet 🙄).

Sometimes I just need a minute. And, today, I took a few.

Hopefully, those waiting for me will understand.

Tomorrow will be a full day of touring other resorts on this beautiful island.

Finally, some sunshine and 80 degree weather 😎 and a busy day!

Walked and I may have to crawl out of the bed tomorrow after all these hills 😬

Met with the resort team and wedding manager.

Got to tour some rooms 🤩 And I got pics to share with some future travelers👏

Saw a wedding 👰

Met some people who live in Texas but are originally from Savannah

Almost ran right over an iguana 😬

Walked on the most beautiful untouched beach right next to the resort.

Opted for “takeout” and ate on our balcony.

Worked on quotes, answered 15 million emails and texts, finalized an Italy trip for spring break and fell out about 1 am🙄 This 2 hour time difference is killing me🤣

Not a lot of pics today because it rained most of the day. So, I worked while Mr. Rhodes Travel Company fished 🤣

I guess I should give him a shout out though because he did provide me with room service a couple of times since we are in a luxury room 😘

I did get in a short walk in between the rain but my tour had to be rescheduled😔 until tomorrow.

Dinner at Butch’s was amazing as always😋

First impressions of this resort…It’s my kind of place 💕 Stay tuned to see if it might be yours too!

G O A L S ✅
I can now say that I have seen ALL of the Sandals and Beaches Properties in person 👏👏👏

When I started 5 years ago, that was my #1 goal because it’s one of my top sellers and I wanted to be a real expert on that brand.

Anybody can take a class and get a piece of paper, but actually seeing the properties in person has been a game changer for me and my business!

Follow along this week!

I will be meeting with the sales team and getting a tour of some other room categories, meeting with the wedding planning team, and going on a tour of the island and seeing some other resorts with the Grenada Tourism Board.

But, right now, I’ve already fallen asleep working 3 times. Very little sleep last night but fortunately we are 2 hours ahead👏👏👏 so bedtime it is!

PS I am behind on my quotes with the holidays and now this trip. But, rest assured if we have talked you are on my list.

🤩Celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary at Beaches Ocho Rios with our grands and finally toured Sandals Dunn’s River

🤩Received a special invite by the team at Sandals Negril to the General Managers Reconnect and learned from the best of the best

🤩Achieved Gold Level Status with Sandals and Beaches (CRC I’m coming for you in 2025!)

🤩Received an award from my agency for being in the top 150 out of over 10K advisors

🤩Got accepted to the Prestigious GTM Conference ( never dreamed this would happen)

🤩Got an invite to the Romance Travel Forum in Cancun and toured 5 new to me resorts in Mexico

🤩Attended the ASTA Conference at Sandals Royal Curacao

🤩Checked off Sandals Royal Barbados/ Sandals Barbados of my list of resorts to see this year

🤩Helped 3 couples with the wedding of their dreams and got to witness one in person at Sandals St Vincent

🤩Got invited to be a part of the Opulence Division with my agency which specializes in luxury travel

🤩Celebrated my birthday and met some incredible people at Sandals St Vincent

🤩Attended Cruiseworld and got to tour some new to me luxury ships

🤩Booked 200+ trips to some pretty incredible destinations including the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Ireland, London, Paris, Scotland and the Amazon River!

🤩Got an invite to the Rising Star Event for Sandals and Beaches but I am having to decline because I will be in Europe at a River Cruise Conference

🤷‍♀️Failed miserably at my work/life balance goal

🤷‍♀️Missed reaching my personal goal of seeing all of the Sandals and Beaches Resorts by 2 days!

A real day in the life of a TA when it’s travel day for your peeps….

Flight delays and cancellations are pretty common, but more so during the holidays and other peak travel times.

🇨🇭🇮🇹Two ladies are heading on an epic adventure to Switzerland and Italy today. A flight delay in Atlanta had me up late praying they would make their connection in Paris. But, they didn’t.

They knew what to do in case that happened, because I had made notes on their itinerary.
So, instead of being upset, they are having a relaxing morning people watching and drinking cafe noisette in Paris 💕waiting for their next flight to Zurich 🇨🇭

In the meantime, while checking in on them at 4am, I get an alert that my family trying to get home from Hawaii 🌺 will be shocked to know that their connecting flight has been cancelled 😡 and they were automatically rebooked on a much later flight today. They are still in the air as I write. So, they have no idea, yet.

No more earlier flights available. I checked. I know they are going to be exhausted 😔 But, when they land, they will see not only the bad news, but also a text from me telling them some other options to try.

And, now, staying up to keep a watchful eye on a couple about to leave for Jamaica this morning 🙏

I can’t control the flights, but I do try and give tips and prepare you ahead of time when and if things go wrong to help relieve as much of the stress as possible.

I don’t make commission on flights, but helping navigate to and from your destination is just another service I provide at no additional cost to you.

Sometimes it’s travel tips before and during the trip. And many times, it’s just simply praying you there and back with as few issues as possible.

I don’t just book trips.

Anybody can do that.

I provide a service that goes well beyond a transaction.

And, I’m like your home insurance policy. You hope you never need me, but when you do, you will be glad you have me in your corner doing everything within my control to help.

And, now, I gotta find some coffee ☕️

S T O R Y T I M E 📖

One of the very best family trips we took ever took was a SURPRISE trip to Disney 🐭

I have no idea how I kept my mouth shut (can I get an amen?) that long, but it was the best experience for not only our kids, but us as well.

And, when I say surprise, I mean they were asking why we were turning into the airport 🤣 They thought it was a weekend trip to Nashville.

So, when A***n Epps Elliott asked me to help her plan a surprise trip for her 3 precious kiddos, I was all in! And, the looks on these sweet faces sure brightened my Christmas morning too!

February can’t come soon enough and these kids will be not only hanging with the mouse, but they will be getting a little dose of the “islands” at Disneys Polynesian Village 🌺

Looking for a special family vacay? I’m your girl!

Anybody else get stressed out on vacation? Do you worry about your littles wandering off down the beach? Are your bigs complaining how “bored” they are after only a few hours? Are you tired of cooking and cleaning up after them in your condo? Is your wallet rubbing blisters on your hands from pulling it out so much? A few months ago we spent a few days at #BeachesOchoRios. This was hands down one of the best vacations we have ever taken. We didn’t have to worry about our littles wandering down a crowded beach. This resort is in a cove it never felt crowded. No one ever complained of boredom because we were all ( even the grown ups) going from the beach the awesome waterpark constantly! The staff at the resort made our kids feel like family and made sure there was never a dull moment. From gourmet dinners, pizza, burgers, ice cream, cocktails, mocktails, steak, French, to Italian you definitely won’t go hungry here and you won’t have to cook or clean up! And, the best thing is we never had to pull out our wallet. Am I spending my kids inheritance? 🤔 Maybe🤣 Why wait until I can’t see them enjoy it? But, I also know how to stack some great promos and use airline points 👏👏👏 for my benefit and I can help you do the same! Think it’s more expensive than your annual trip to the beach in the summer? Maybe 🤔 But, Keep up with your receipts this time and I bet you will be surprised🤷‍♀️ And, right now is the time to get it on the books! This is My Story......

When we vacation, we like to go somewhere “where nobody knows our name” and reconnect with each other. We are empty-nesters, but our lives, like yours, are very busy. So every once in a while we need to just get away from the rest of the world and focus on each other. Our very wise preacher always says, “God first, spouse second, kids third, etc.....” We consider our trips an investment in our marriage.

We never really traveled anywhere other than the traditional “beach” vacation to the Gulf of Mexico a couple of times a year where we would always run into people from back home. When our son graduated from high school We “bribed” him into going on a family trip to St. Thomas, USVI instead of the traditional senior trip. It opened up a whole new world for us!

Since then, we have stayed on St.Thomas (3 times), St. Lucia, Grenada, Grand Cayman,Isla Mujeres (2 times- a little island off of Cancun), and Bonaire (3 times). We have cruised from San Juan to the Southern Caribbean Islands of St. Croix, Barbados, St. Marteen, and Grenada to see which one was our favorite. We have cruised Jamaica, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman.

Over the last few months, I have been praying for God to show me something new at this stage in my life that will bring joy not only to me, but joy to others as well.
