Minimum wage is going up in Mexico in 2025 (by 12%). This means that minimum wage for an 8-hour day (NOT per hour, per DAY) is 278.80MXN or approximately $13USD per day.
Think about how much even a small tip goes at these rates. I try to make an extra effort to tip those who normally get forgotten at resorts - gardeners, cleaners in the lobby, airport washroom cleaners, etc. Housekeeping, waiters, and bartenders do work hard but will likely see the most tips - don't forget about those making the least who don't get as much attention.
