Well, there you have it - our mother-daughter European vacation to celebrate Taylor’s 30th. Travel is a combination of good planning, good timing, good luck and a good attitude. Whether it’s a late plane or a little rain, be prepared to change the script and you just might find something even better than you expected! I am beyond thankful and blessed to have experienced such an incredible trip, but whether you plan something on your own or use a travel planner 🙋♀️, whether it’s a European vacation or a week end getaway, travel invigorates your mind, opens your eyes, expands your universe and restores your soul. So get out there and explore!
Vienna is a mix of old and new. A very clean, modern and metropolitan city with luxury cars, high end stores, skyscrapers and beautiful old world charm, as well!
Exploring Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and the famous Woody Harrelson look alike statue (middle guy) 😂
We took the funicular up to Petrin Hill and then walked back down. What a way to enjoy the beautiful gardens and views of Prague, St. Vitus Cathedral, and Prague Castle. We enjoyed lunch at Strahov Monastery Brewery.
The Central Market Hall in Budapest is 3 stories and filled with everything under the sun from scarves and spices to sausages and souvenirs!
Budapest is a beautiful and friendly city. Taylor and I took a private Tuk Tuk tour and were “in the moment” I guess because we completely forgot to take a picture of our Tuk Tuk but here are some of the remarkable views!
On our Prague history and pub tour, our guide Lukas, an actor by trade, kept us entertained and in stitches as he regaled us with stories about the history and tradition of Prague. We had a fun group from Sweden, Holland,
Thailand, Scotland and Vancouver. Here we are in front of the Astronomical Clock and the Church of Our Lady before Týn

Our Food, Coffee and Market Tour in Vienna took us outside the city center via trams and underground to savor and enjoy the coffee houses, markets, restaurants and street vendors that the locals enjoy! It was a treat for all the senses but the food was the highlight and so much if it!
A tour is always a good idea when you first arrive to a new city! And a private or small group tour is the way to go for a way to learn about the culture, traditions and history of your destination. I think a small group tour is usually lots of fun - a great way to meet new people from around the globe! Our group in Vienna included a family from England and a couple from Hawaii!
The architecture was beautiful although these portraits gave me a little shock at first! 😂
The Franz Kafka statue in Prague moves for 15 minutes every hour to create a new face! So cool to watch!
I love finding little out of the way places and this one did not disappoint! The Wine o’Clock Shop is a small 12 seat wine cafe serving out of this world Italian tapas in Prague!
The Original Beer Spa was a Day 1 stop. This bubbly whirlpool bath is infused with brewers yeast and hops to give you soft skin and fight fatigue. And your own beer taps to enjoy while you soak!
A short walk from our hotel to the Dancing House hotel - one of the most recognizable structures in Prague. And the views from the rooftop bar were awesome.
Loved our hotel pick in Prague - Mosaic House. Beautiful boutique hotel, great location, friendly, and accommodating staff. Even complementary Prosecco! After toasting the start of our trip, it was time to do a little exploring. But first, we checked out the structures right in front of the hotel.

This street vendor on our Vienna tour serves incredibly delicious sausages, beef goulash and pork belly. He also served us a horse sausage which a few people in our group tasted, including Taylor, but some of us had to take a pass 😂)
