The improvements continue here at Stacy’s Sandhills Stay!! 😀 We are excited about the installation of the new countertop on the kitchen island! Nordhues Construction did an amazing job! Now there’s more space for cooking as well as extra seating for get togethers with family and friends! 😊 More improvements yet to come! We will continue to post updates as they happen!

We also hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for the support of family, friends and our customers! We could not do this without that support!!

A gorgeous fall sunset at Stacy’s Sandhills Stay during the month when we will gather to give thanks…

We are especially thankful to all our guests who have come to stay at this special place and supported us. Without that support, we would not have the means to continue improving the property while giving folks a great place to stay on the edge of the beautiful Sandhills of Nebraska.

It’s very rewarding when we receive notes from guests expressing how much they enjoyed their stay, the beautiful view and the peace and quiet while making memories with family and friends. It makes all the hard work worth it. 💕

It’s Stacy’s birthday today. ❤️Another year without our dear sister has gone by. But, we find some comfort in the memories we have and the home that we’ve restored in her honor that bears her name. As most of you probably know, Dad joined her and mom in heaven on September 23rd. What a reunion that must have been! We will all get there someday. In the meantime, we are going to continue to restore this special place and share it with others. Dad loved hearing about all the guests that have come to stay. We think mom and Stacy would also appreciate our efforts. They each have a room with a theme named in their honor: Mom’s quilt room🧵🪡, Dad’s Cowboy Room 🤠, and Stacy’s Sunflower room 🌻. And just maybe Stacy is celebrating her birthday today in a full field of sunflowers somewhere in the heavens. Happy birthday, Stacy! Gone but never forgotten! ❤️🌻❤️🌻❤️🌻❤️

Dear friends of Stacy’s Sandhills Stay,

Our beloved father passed away on Thursday September 23, 2021. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts which we know can never be filled. His memory and legacy will live on through the traditions he passed on to us, his kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and ability to turn a stranger into a friend in an instant.

Stacy’s Sandhills Stay is also a big part of our fathers legacy. He was born and raised on the land near where it was built. We feel so blessed to have had the fortune of being raised on this same land where our roots run deep. Our father left behind a realized dream of having a beautiful house on a hill where you could see the beauty of the earth and the heavens for miles. He loved people and he was so pleased knowing that guests have been able to come enjoy this special place that once was just a dream.

Thank you for liking our page and supporting us in our endeavors. We look forward to continuing to honor our father by sharing the home he built with anyone who wishes to come relax, take a break from the stresses of life and enjoy the beauty of the Sandhills.
