Planning to fly in the U.S. in 2025? Make sure you’re REAL ID ready!
🛫 Starting May 7, 2025, you'll need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another approved form of ID to board domestic flights. This is part of a federal mandate to improve security at airports.

🔑 What does this mean for you?
✔️ Your regular driver’s license won’t be enough starting May 2025.
✔️ You’ll need a REAL ID (marked with a gold star) or another acceptable form of ID, like a passport or military ID.
✔️ If you don’t have one yet, start the process now to avoid any travel hiccups!

💡 How to get your REAL ID:
Visit your local DMV and bring proof of identity (like a birth certificate or passport), proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency, and proof of residence (like a utility bill).

🌊 When Travel Doesn’t Go As Planned 🌊

I thought I’d share a personal story from my honeymoon—because, as much as we love to plan, sometimes the unexpected happens… even to travel agents like me! 😅

We had originally booked a Greek Isles cruise, dreaming of island hopping, sunny days, and exploring ancient ruins. But then, we received the news that our cruise was cancelled because the ship was being repositioned. 😬

No big deal—we quickly rescheduled for another route. Instead of multiple island stops, we had three port days in the same destination. We were excited to explore the island thoroughly. But as luck would have it, hurricane season threw us another curveball. Two of our port days were shortened due to weather. 🌪️

Instead of 3 full days exploring (with 2 overnight stays), we arrived midday and left the next evening, leaving us with only about 1.5 days on the island. While being at sea wasn’t an issue for us—we love the ship—what we missed was the time to explore the island in depth.

But here’s the thing—we made the most of it. 💙 We explored every inch of the ship, from delicious meals to relaxing on deck. Sometimes, it’s not about where you go, but how you embrace the journey. 🌅

Takeaway for my clients and fellow travelers:
No matter how much we prepare, there are always things we can’t control—weather, cruise changes, cancellations. But that’s where having a trusted travel advisor (like me! 😉) comes in. Even when things don’t go as planned, we’re here to help make the experience as stress-free as possible.
