We got some major updates to Genie+ service today!🧞‍♂️

These changes will take place beginning on July 24th, but if you are planning your vacation with me, you've already received an email on all the important updates!

Here's a brief overview of what we know so far:
The whole system is getting a name makeover!
-Genie+ service will be called Lightning Lane Multi Pass!
-and if you immediately thought of the Fifth Element, you are my kind of people! 😂
-Individual Lightning Lanes will be called Lightning Lane Single Passes!
You can book BEFORE you arrive! Hallelujah, yes- this means no more waking up at 6:45am on vacation every day!
-Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel will be able to book (or have me book for you) beginning at 7am EST, 7 days before you check in
-All other guests will be able to book (or have me book for you) beginning at 7am EST, 3 days before you arrive
You will be able to choose 3 attractions ahead of time with the Multi Pass, along with up to 2 Single Passes, per day of your vacation!

And just like back in the day of FastPasses, strategy will be key in getting all your must-do's in!

These changes go into effect on July 24, 2024. So there's a lot we still don't know. This is exactly why planning your vacation with an experienced travel advisor makes a difference! Do you really want to have to research all this stuff yourself? And what it it changes again before you travel? How will you know?

Imagine strolling down Main Street USA, past the giant Christmas tree, and snow starts to fall amongst the twinkling lights. You stop to sip on cocoa and munch cookies, before watching the most magical holiday parade. Festive holiday fireworks light up the night sky. And ugly Christmas sweaters and t-shirts are everywhere!

Then, head to Hollywood Studios, for a vintage Christmas vibe that can't be beat. Take in retro decor and holiday music. Enjoy the holiday stage show featuring the Muppets. See ice skaters perform in front of the Chinese Theater. And sing along with your favorite Nightmare Before Christmas songs.

Nothing is more merry than the holidays at Disney!

Today, Disney released dates and details for both Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, and Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios!

Even if you don't currently have plans to visit Walt Disney World during November & December, these parties are holiday must-do's, and worth making a trip for. Party tickets go on sale July 2nd for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, so you would be smart to get your reservations in place now.

It happened last time, and it happened again. . .

One of the hidden benefits of the VIP Experience: sometimes rides go down. Mario Kart went down while we were in line.

Average guests were all lined up, sitting on the floor, some standing in the sun, none of them knowing how long the ride is down for, or whether they should abandon ship.

If you've traveled to get to Universal, paid for park tickets, and been anticipating your vacation, this is not a decision you want to have to make.

But our VIP Tour Guide quickly changed our plans around for the day. We left for another ride, and will be returning later in the day to ride Mario Kart, without missing a beat.

And we can even return later in the evening, once our tour is over, and ride again. And again.

Great Scott!

This vacation is about to hit 88 miles per hour. 💥 I will be out of the office soon, from Thursday afternoon, June 6th, until Tuesday, June 18th in the afternoon. I will be at Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland, with some of my fellow agents, celebrating another successful year with Middle of the Magic Travel. And another trip around the sun for me!

I'm going to check out the 60th anniversary of the World-Famous Studio Tour at Universal, and jump into Super Nintendo World! We're also heading to the Warner Bros Studio Tour, and out on a private tour of LA. Then, it's on to Disneyland, for Pixar Fest, the new Fantasmic, and the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour- among many other fun things!

If you need anything before I leave the office, please let me know. I have phone and Zoom appointments available for Saturday, June 1st and Wednesday, June 5th- you can schedule one at my link in comments.

I've only got 8 more summers. 🥺

Believe it or not, another school year is in the books. It feels like I blinked, and the year has passed. And now, on to the joys of summer: sunshine, lazy afternoons, swimming, and soaking up the time with my babies while they are still little. And yes, spending some time at Disney, too!

I will be reducing my office hours for the summer, so I can spend more time with my family. My new office hours will be:

-Tuesday 1pm EST/ 11am MST - 6:30pm EST/ 4:30pm MST
-Wednesday 1pm EST/ 11am MST - 6:30pm EST/ 4:30pm MST
-Thursday 1pm EST/ 11am MST - 6:30pm EST/ 4:30pm MST
-Saturday 1pm EST/ 11am MST - 6:30pm EST/ 4:30pm MST

I will be available for phone appointments, answering emails and planning vacations during these hours.

If you have a vacation currently booked with me, rest assured, I will be keeping you up-to-date with your important planning dates, and making sure you have everything you need before you travel.

If an emergency comes up with your booked vacation, please reach out, and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.

If you simply have planning questions, I will reply to all communications during my summer business hours.

You can take advantage of your flexible travel schedule, and visit the Disney theme parks once the big kids have gone back to school! The least busy time of year to visit is the last two weeks of August and most of September (except Labor Day weekend). Plus, it's also when the hotel prices are lowest. This picture of pure happiness is from 11 years ago. This is me and my Disney friend, who used to regularly schedule off select weekdays, so we could go to Walt Disney World. While the rest of the world was working, we were playing. There was nothing better than looking at each other and saying, "Tuesday?" with that knowing smile.

This is the time that my love of Disney really came into full bloom- and with it, my extensive knowledge of the theme parks. 11 years ago, we spent our days playing, but also learning how to use all the brand-new planning tools Disney was releasing, like advanced dining reservations, Magic Bands, FastPass+ and the My Disney Experience app.

Now, 11 years and more than 80 visits later, the fun has become my career! I spend my days using my Disney knowledge to help my clients have the best vacations possible! While I still miss those weekdays off, I am so grateful to now be able to share everything I learned- and LOVE.

🐊 Splash Mountain closed in early 2023, and has been reimagined into Tiana's Bayou Adventure, with a whole new story, impressive new audioanimatronics, new music and the same big splash ending everyone loves! 💦

🐊 When you plan your vacation with me, I will gather all the important ride information for you, like whether a virtual queue will be in use (my guess is yes), and whether an Individual Lightning Lane will be offered (my guess is also yes, and this will be the best way to ride). I will also include the best tips for your ride in your digital vacation itinerary.

🐊 If you are an Annual Passholder or DVC Member, look for special preview information, beginning tomorrow! Let me know if I can assist with a hotel stay and tickets for your preview date!

Just one of many reasons to have a travel professional in your corner: sometimes the unforeseen happens.

A sweet family of mine had their vacation plans halted short when a medical emergency came up for one of their children, just days before they were supposed to leave for vacation. All they had to do was reach out to me, and I took care of making all the needed changes for them, so they can spend their time with and focus on their child. One less thing for them to worry about, so they can be present where they're needed, instead of waiting on hold on the phone. We're officially Halfway to Halloween! 👻💀🎃🦇🕸

🦇Today, Disney released the spooky details for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, taking place August 9th through October 31st this year! Party tickets go on sale Wednesday morning, May 8th, for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and May 15th for the general public. You can find all the party details in the comments. 🦇

🕷 At Disneyland, Oogie Boogie Bash is scheduled to return August 25th through October 31st! Details on prices and booking will be revealed soon. 🕷

🎃And Halloween on the High Seas returns this September and October, aboard select Disney Cruise Line itineraries! Booking is already open for these fun themed sailings. 🎃

She's not on Facebook anymore, but if you've known me in the last few years, then you've probably heard at least one story about something Savannah and I have done at Disney.

11 years ago, we started taking weekdays off of work here and there, and going to Disney for the day. Tuesdays were always the best days. Back before kids, and before I was a professional travel planner, we were just two Disney friends who couldn't get enough of the magic.

And, well. . .we just never stopped.

Never underestimate the power of what a good friend, a good Disney snack and a day at Disney can do for your soul. ❤️
