🚨 Eruption Hazards Update 🚨
Due to the eruption near Nāpau Crater, volcanic hazards along Chain of Craters Road have increased. Here’s what you need to know:

• Chain of Craters Road is open to Hōlei Sea Arch, but volcanic gases (vog) could affect the area.
• Please do not stop at Kealakomo Overlook and follow all posted signs and instructions.
• Some areas like Maunaulu, Nāpau, and Nāʻulu Trails are closed due to hazards like gas and wildfire risks.
• Lava viewing is not possible right now, but you might see a glow from parking areas.

Expect heavy traffic, limited parking, and no restrooms. Be sure to park in designated areas only.

Stay safe by checking the park’s air monitoring website and follow all safety guidelines!
