Many people have asked how we faired from Hurricane Ian. We did very well ❤️ It’s been a long several days of clean up but things are looking good!

The pool cage and covered porch area sustained the most damage. Missing screens and missing section of cage framing. Insurance will be covering the needed repairs!

As you can imagine most companies are inundated with work so we will have to wait patiently for our turn. We will have the pool cage screens replaced while we wait.

We have been incredibly blessed with friends from church and neighbors in Cape Coral who have come to help us.

The community and recovery effort is truly inspiring! The news tends to highlight the worst damage but we are very encouraged being here in person! Yes, there’s damage but most business and restaurants are up and running.

One of our favorite beaches, Siesta Key had no significant damage. It’s not much further than Fort Myers. It’s an easier drive mostly on 1-75.

We have already been welcoming guests needing places to stay who have been brought here for work related to the recovery effort. And have been encouraged that many vacationers are still wanting to travel and visit Heavenly Palms!
