Perfect way to end our trip to China. Took the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel from Shanghai to Pudong to visit the financial district of Shanghai.
And we ended our night with a wonderful Italian dinner and our last views of the Bund.

Tomorrow we are returning home, filled with knowledge, food, new friendships and an even deeper love of travel.

Last day of our Adventures by Disney China tour. We started the day at Yu Gardens and did some fun shopping. And then the finale: Disneyland Shanghai. The park is beautiful and the rides were fun. Our last dinner was at the Royal Banquet Hall in the Enchanted Storybook Castle. We ended the evening with Illuminate, a Nighttime Celebration, with front row seats.

We had a wonderful trip with wonderful people and we felt very taken care of in China. The 5 star hotels, the baggage handling for our 5 domestic flights, the local experts, the adventure guides, the immersive experiences and the extra special Disney touches, made this trip so special and memorable.

After arriving in Guilin last night at 11:00pm, we had a much more relaxing day today. We got to do some shopping at a local village and see a few llamas. We took a 5 hour cruise along the Lijiang River. We saw the mountains that are depicted on the 20 Yuen bill and the mountains depicted in the painting 9 Horses by GuiLin YangShuo. We are leaving for our final destination: Shanghai, in the morning.

After climbing the Great Wall yesterday, today we ventured to Xi’an. We enjoyed an authentic tea ceremony and a birthday celebration for Steve’s birthday, which included traditional birthday noodle soup for a long and healthy life. We then saw the terracotta warriors, which is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered to be the 8th Wonder of the World.

Quick update on our trip to Mainland China. We spent a day in Chengdu visiting the pandas. And the evening attending a Chinese variety show. Then off to Beijing. Our first night, we dined at a Michelin star restaurant in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, which specializes in Peking duck. Yesterday we visited the Temple of Heaven, had a yo-yo demonstration, toured the Forbidden City and saw an acrobatic show. And we drove by Tiananmen Square. Today we had arts & crafts at a local’s home where we learned to make the Chinese knots, calligraphy and paper cutting. We then took a pedicab ride by the Grand Canal. It’s not even noon and we are on our way to the Great Wall. The food, the accommodations, the people and the tour has been wonderful.

The amazing race continues. After seeing a very foggy Victoria peak and another visit to Disneyland Hong Kong, we are off to Mainland China, where all social media is blocked. We will be visiting Chengdu, Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin and ending in Shanghai. 5 flights, 6 cities and lots of memories to be made!

Day 1 is almost done. We arrived in Hong Kong last night and are spending a few days Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong. Our room is beautiful and the hotel is lovely. We decided to take the subway and spend the day Disneyland,hongkong. Tomorrow we start our Adventures by Disney China Tour.
