🍦IT’S NATIONAL DOLE WHIP DAY!!!!! 🍦

Dole Whip is a staple Disney Parks treat that consists of Pineapple Soft Serve and Pineapple Juice, but Disney also has created many other flavors over the years! The true Dole Whip soft serve is only available at the Disney Parks and at the Dole plantation on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. It is truly one of a kind!

🇬🇷MYKONOS, GREECE 🇬🇷

The pictures do not do this island justice! Mykonos is everything and more that people hear about in the movies and in pop culture. There are truly no words to describe how amazing the views are here!!!! Also highly recommend going out on a catamaran in the Aegean Sea and exploring the nearby islands as well!!!

🇬🇷THE ISLAND OF RHODES, GREECE 🇬🇷

Our second stop in Greece was the island of Rhodes. We went on a tour where a family-owned ceramic business showed us how ceramics were made in Lindos, and we also got to taste and purchase some authentic Greek olive oil!!! We also got to walk around the Old Medieval Town of Rhodes as well!!!

🇬🇷 DAYS 2 & 3 IN GREECE 🇬🇷

These past two days have been filled with exploring the Plaka, Acropolis, and Monistraki areas of Athens. We went on a nightlife tour and a walking tour of these areas that showed us all the fabulous places to eat and have a great view of the Acropolis!

This morning we went on a full walking tour of the Acropolis museum that included the Temple of Nike, The Parthenon, and much more! We are now headed over to Pireaus Port to board the Virgin Voyages ship Resilent Lady. 🇬🇷FIRST FULL DAY IN GREECE 🇬🇷

Our first full day in Greece was filled with history on Greek mythology and a trip to the Temple Of Poseidon! Located 47 miles south of Athens, this temple was built in 500 BC as a place of worship for the Greek God of Poseidon, God of Water. This is a very easy half day trip to take from Athens, and I booked it for my family and I on Viator!

✅We also got to stop at a local beach bar/beach near the Temple after our visit for some lunch and relaxation
✅Our guide was very professional and informative about everything there is to know about Greece and the Temple of Poseidon!

🚢 Utopia of the Seas is the final ship in the Oasis Class, unless Royal Caribbean decides to order additional Oasis Class cruise ships in the future.

Of course, Royal Caribbean would not debut the biggest and boldest Oasis Class ship without making some modifications, meaning that there will be some venues, staterooms, and other features not found on any other Oasis vessel in the fleet. ✨

🍹 In total, there will be over 40 ways to drink and dine when onboard the ship, ranging from the complimentary Windjammer to brand-new concepts, such as the immersive train car and Pesky Parrot bar. Plus, you will be able to enjoy 16 cuisines from around the world. 🍱

🇵🇦COME EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY OF PANAMÁ 🇵🇦

I am currently here completing my international field experience for my masters of public health, but I would also like to take this opportunity to share some sites that I have seen!

Panama Canal ✅ obviously you cannot go to Panamá without seeing the Canal!!! I got to watch a ship go through it and learned about the history of the Canal as well! A must-do for anyone traveling to Panamá!

Embera indigenous village ✅ This is an indigenous village belonging to the Embera tribe. These are the native people that have been here since before the Spanish colonization period, dating all the way back to the 1200s! You need to go with a certified guide to tour these villages as the only way to access them is by taking a canoe boat down the Chiagres River. This was an extremely eye-opening and amazing experience, and highly recommended if you are coming to Panamá!

Casco Viejo and the Old Town in Panamá City✅ A walking tour of Casco Viejo and the Old Town/ruins of Panamá City is a must-do!!! Lots of historical buildings including churches, the first U.S. Embassy that was established in Panamá, the old city hall, and so much more!!!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: MAJOR WALT DISNEY WORLD NEWS WAS RELEASED THIS WEEK!!!! There were five major news drops this week regarding upcoming vacations to Walt Disney World, and they also serve as five reasons why you should travel to Walt Disney World in 2024!

1. NO. MORE. PARK RESERVATIONS! Yes, that's right! No more park reservations!!!! Starting January 9th, 2024, park reservations will no longer be needed for guests with date-based park tickets. Annual Passholders will still need to make reservations to head to the parks, but there are also certain days where reservations won't be needed for annual passholders (see #2 for more information!)

2. Annual Passholders "Good-to-go" days: Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will have select days throughout the year where they will not need a park reservation to get into the parks! However, these dates will vary by park, block-out dates, and capacity limitations.

3. THE DISNEY DINING PLAN IS RETURNING!!!! Yes, you read that right, the Disney Dining Plan will be available to add-on to your trip for visits starting January 9th, 2024. Only the quick-service dining plan and standard Disney dining plan will be available to add-on to your vacation at this time.

4. MORE PARK TIME!!!! Early theme park entry (30 minutes before the parks open to the general public each morning) will continue to be available to all Disney Resort hotel guests! Extended Evening hours will continue to be available for all guests of Disney Deluxe Resort hotels and villas as well!

5. GENIE + CHANGES: Disney has stated that they are working out new and improved ways to help improve the Genie+ & Lightening Lane systems to help you plan out ride selections before you visit. I will have more details on this when Disney releases more information!

2024 vacation packages for Walt Disney World will be available to book starting on May 31st, 2023!!!
