My favorite thing to have on my agenda in a new city is free time! It might sound strange but I would have never stumbled upon one of the most picturesque parts of the city if it weren’t for a little wanderlust. If you could hear and smell this street you would understand what I mean. 🎻

When traveling to Paris, people often ask me which Arrondissement (district) I like the best. Although they all offer their own unique experiences, I spent the most time walking & smiling in the 6th, the beautiful St. Germain-des-Prés! The extravagant Jardin of Luxembourg calls it home and it also encompasses the romance of Paris with live street music, cafes, art galleries, street markets and shops.☕️

Guests with current reservations at impacted Disney Resort hotels can request help with modifying their reservation starting Monday June 22. Reservations for stays in 2021 will begin booking on Wednesday, June 24. Only Guests with a valid theme park ticket or Annual Pass will be able to access the Disney Park Pass reservation system.

Given the current situation, there are some resort hotels and other areas that are not, as of this time, being scheduled for reopening yet. We will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so.

While these plans may evolve, we will be monitoring the constantly changing health environment and its impact on the state of Florida as we find the right time to welcome back even more of our Guests and Cast Members.”

Day 2 of our California Road Trip

We covered A LOT of ground this day. I don’t usually like to spend over two hours in a car but Hwy 1 is definitely the exception.
⠀
We turned a 4 hour route into a full day of sun, sea, hiking, wine, eating and (quite literally) chasing the sunset over Big Sur. We made it by about 2 minutes!
⠀
I’m what I like to call a “rough planner.” Before we begin traveling I always map out a rough itinerary while also leaving space for us to explore. Something about getting lost in these beautiful coastal towns made for a perfect dose of planned spontaneity. I personally think this combo is where the magic happens. ✨

Our Day 2 Itinerary:
-Santa Cruz
-Monterey
-Carmel by the Sea
-Big Sur
-Cambria

We pulled up to a cute little seaside motel in Cambria at 10pm to luckily find out they had occupancy. We found the nearest gas station for cheap food & wine and woke up to the sound of crashing waves for Day 3.

San Francisco: DAY 1 of our California road trip down the 101 🗺
⠀
We only stayed 1 night in SF so it was a bit of a whirlwind but a few highlights included:
•Sunset run under the Golden Gate Bridge 🏃🏻‍♀️
•Visiting the Painted Ladies from Full House (cue theme song 🎶🏠)
• Driving down the iconic curvy Lombard Street 🚃
• Stuffing our faces with ice cream sandwiches as big as our heads from The Baked Bear🍦

When we only have limited time in a city we tend to always,
1. Agree on 1-2 iconic tourist spots to visit. 🌁
2. Find the best food & drinks in the city for a slow dinner.🥂
3. Find the most walkable area of the city and cover a lot of ground. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Let’s face it, international travel will be very limited this summer due to strict travel restrictions and COVID-19 uncertainties. 🦠

Some countries are releasing their reopening phases and strategies, but for the most part, domestic travel will be the sweet spot this year and I’m here for it! 👏🏼Just as we produce and at small businesses, it’s time for us to and fall in love with our own beautiful country again as we boost our local tourism industry. 🇺🇸

Over the next few weeks I’ll be unveiling some of my favorite domestic trips. 🚕 I’ll start by deep diving into the road trip of a lifetime we took down the coast of California last year. 🏄

To be honest, this hits me differently than other closures. The magic, the spectacle and the joy these parks bring to kids 2-92 👵🏻 is the reason I love being a certified specialist. It’s surreal but just like we all are going to recover from this, so will the mouse. 🐭

In the midst of all the bad news, some good (ok, as good as it gets) news for the travelers who may be wondering about the REAL ID Oct. 1, 2020 deadline—it has been postponed! Date TBD but no rushing around to get to your local DMV when this is all over so you can catch a flight (when you book that vaca as soon as humanly possible..Amen?!?!✈️ )

Check your ID for a ⭐️ in the top right to see if you are already REAL ID compliant.
⠀
And if you’re completely clueless about a REAL ID, it’s an Act passed by Congress that established minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and ID cards. You’ll have to have this to access federal facilities, board a commercial aircraft and enter nuclear power plants (which I do all the time 😉)

Hi friends!👋🏼 So I’ve intentionally been pretty quiet on here about COVID-19 because like a lot of you, I’ve spent my time listening, learning and trying to differentiate between what’s reality and what’s noise. Although my industry has been hit HARD, we are still very much looking forward and ahead! Silver lining- travel rates are GREAT, airplanes & hands have never been cleaner AND the sun will shine again soon! 🌞 Hang in there my fellow travelers—we will be better because of this!

All the love in the air from yesterday brought me straight back to Paris in June with mon amour. ❤️ The Luxembourg Gardens was easily one of the most romantic spots of our trip so we swore to come back sans unpictured toddler some day soon. 😂

You can play tennis, chess, bridge and even drive your own remote control boat⛵️ (s/o Stewart Little who’s made me want to do this since I was a child). And if you’re anything like us, you pack a baguette, cheese, fruit and rosé and relax on the south side where there’s a beautiful lawn to picnic and people watch. 🥖🍇🥂

We spent 2-3 hours meandering through the garden taking in over the 100 statues, art displays and gorgeous greenhouses. It’s easily one of my favorite places to get lost in so add it to your Paris must-do list. ✨
