🌟 WDW Disney Resort Pixie Dust Progress! 🌟
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation, you might notice that a sprinkle of pixie dust is sweeping through the resorts! Disney is hard at work refreshing rooms, upgrading amenities, and tackling some long-overdue projects to make the magic shine even brighter. While these updates promise exciting changes, they can bring a few minor disruptions. But don’t worry—I’m here to help you! ⛵ Yacht Club Resort: Room refurbishments January–May 2025. Picture updated spaces full of fresh Disney magic—but keep in mind, you might hear some construction during the day. If you’re looking for elegance by the water, these resorts are still dreamy!
⛱️ Stormalong Bay Pool: Closed January–June 2025 for maintenance. Don’t Worry, the leisure pools will still be open for a relaxing dip.
🎠 BoardWalk Inn: Reimagining in progress! Room renovations are complete, with final touches expected by late 2024. Don’t miss the Cake Bake Shop, opening in late 2024—the perfect spot for a sweet treat during your twinkling evening strolls.
🎥 All-Star Movies: The Fantasia Pool will be closed January–April 2025.but fear not! The Duck Pond Pool is here to save the day with plenty of splashy fun. If your little movie stars love a good pool day, they’ll still have a blast while the main pool gets a refresh.
✨ Bay Lake Tower: Floor-by-floor refurbishment from September 2024–September 2025 to minimize disruptions.
🎡 Pop Century Resort: Get Ready for some groovy updates! Year-long room refresh underway starting soon! Amenities will remain open, but you might spot some daytime work. Everything POP Food Court is getting a refresh through November 2024, but it’s still open with limited seating. Pro tip: Use Mobile Order to grab your food and go—because nothing should stand between you and your Mickey waffles.
🎷 Port Orleans Resorts: Southern charm is getting a little glow-up! Room updates continue through 2026 at both Riverside and French Quarter. While S**t Cat’s Café is temporarily closed, you can still enjoy those iconic Mickey-shaped beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. Because who can say no to warm, sugary magic?
🏰 Grand Floridian Resort and Spa: This iconic resort is undergoing a magical transformation, with updates to the lobby, restaurants, and rooms. Outlying buildings are done, but work continues in the main lobby. Trust me, this beauty is already stunning, and it’s only going to get better.
🌴 Disney's Polynesian Village Resort: Construction on the new DVC tower is in full swing and will continue through 2026. Longhouses near the construction site, like Aotearoa, Fiji, and Tuvalu, might experience some noise. For uninterrupted tropical vibes, request a room farther from the action—or soak up the serenity at another Disney resort for now.
🐎 Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Nature lovers, take note! DVC cabins are being added, and enhancements to pools and walking trails are underway. Horseback riding is temporarily paused through November 2024, but the campground’s charm remains as enchanting as ever.
🦢 Swan & Dolphin Resorts: A big transformation is coming, featuring refreshed rooms and expanded spaces!
🚡 Skyliner Gondolas
Heads up, high-flyers! Skyliner maintenance is expected during early 2025, which might impact routes to Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts. If this breezy transportation is a must, check for updates before your trip!
