Some character spots will be returning in November!

Over the past year, beloved Disney Characters have been popping up in cavalcades, motorcades, flotillas, and surprise sightings- Walt Disney World is pleased to tell you many of those experiences will be continuing. Although the environment is not right just yet for hugs and autographs, guests will soon be able to have individualized time with some of their favorite characters, getting to visit with them in a themed location and snap a photo or two.

👑Look for the Disney Princesses to return to Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park.

✨At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will soon find Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and the stars of Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard.

I have always felt this way. People always say to us, “y’all are always gone somewhere”, but those are the times we make the most memories, and kids don’t keep. So we take the trip. ❤️

Take the trip.

Even if it's on a whim.

Even if you have to stop 5,796 times for p*e breaks and snack breaks and I-dropped-my-tablet-again breaks.

Even if you're overwhelmed by the thought of keeping a family safe and happy in a new setting.

Even if the hours you spend prepping and planning are longer than the actual time you spend away.

Even if your kids are so young you're not sure they'll even really remember.

Even then.

Do it for yourself. Do it for them. Do it for your marriage. Do it for your family.

Unplug. Have genuine conversations. Focus on their smiles and the way their eyes light up at a brand new world. Eat too much ice cream and get pruny in the hotel pool.

Make the memories while they're there for the making.

I know it's overwhelming, mama, and it sounds like SO MUCH WORK.

But seriously. Just take the trip.

I promise it'll be worth it.

🌟Are you considering a last minute Disney trip in 2021?

We’ve been to Disney countless times. But one of my all time favorite trips was a spontaneous, long weekend trip we planned less than a month in adanvce. We just took a day off of work and packed up and left! We went in the fall and spent a day at Animal Kingdom (my then 7 year old’s favorite park at the time), went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party, spent some time swimming at the resort, and spent a very relaxing day at the waterpark. It was laid back and so fun to just book the trip and pack up and go! I always remember that as one of our very best trips. And because it was a random weekend at the end of September, the parks were not a bit crowded!
✨Pro tip: we went the week before my youngest turned 3 because kids under 3 are free!

Are you a fan of the BBQ mac n cheese at Flametree BBQ?

Since today is National Mac n cheese day, I have to give a shout out to my all time favorite Mac n cheese! This deliciousness is found at Flametree BBQ in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is baked Mac n cheese topped with smoked pulled pork, onion rings, and coleslaw. 🤤 If you’ve never tried it, I recommend it on your next trip to Animal Kingdom. You’re sure to smell Flametree BBQ soon after entering the park, so just follow your nose.
