This coming 4th of July long weekend is perfect to see the Growing Giant Victoria Water Lilies and More Summer Highlights on a Guided Walk at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens.

This event features prize-winning camellias of all sizes, shapes, and colors. This show is geared toward educating the public about the care, culture, and appreciation of camellias. Hey Friends...if you've never been part of a parade before, here's your chance. Come celebrate the Fourth of July and Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park by riding in the annual, small town Micanopy parade and representing Friends of Paynes Prairie . Wave to parade goers, throw candy for the kids and check off "parade participant" on your life list.

Come find us on Tuscawilla Blvd Thursday morning around 10:30am. Parade begins at 11am. Bring water, a hand fan and a Paynes Prairie T-shirt. It'll be a hot one!
