There’s a lot to know before visiting - save this post for reference planning your future visit!

1. You must purchase tickets in advance (the farther out, the better) and you must have your passport to enter!

2. You can only reach Machu Pichu by 1 of 2 ways: hiking the Inca trail (which is very strenuous and takes a number of days) or by train into Aguas Calientes (then a bus up the mountain).

3: The dry season (and busy season) is April-Sept. with the busiest months being June, July & August.
Rainy season means fewer crowds and more moody skies so depends on your preference!

4. Once you enter the gates there are no toilets or places to get water… so plan accordingly.

5. The elevation is not something to gloss over.
It’s important to give yourself some time to adjust before doing any hiking (whether in or elsewhere in the region).If you want to visit my team and I would love to help!

Our final ski trip of the season was at the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes. Just steps from the Village, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly while our ski equipment was whisked away to their ski valet conveniently located under the village gondola. After exhilarating days on the slopes, we unwound in the heated pool and hot tub, soaking in the breathtaking mountain views.
