Kapoho beach was formed as a result of the 2018 eruption. It sits just beyond where Champagne Pond and the Kapoho thermal tidal pools once were.

Sunset, above the clouds, from atop THE Mauna, Mauna Kea. A truly spectacular, very special place. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing. The view of the Milky Way is a sight to behold.

In the distance, piercing the clouds, you can see the peak of Mauna Loa.
