For your flight, your best bet is on ANA (All Nippon Airways)
You can book ANA with them directly or utilize Virgin Atlantic as a SkyTeam Alliance partner.
If you book through Virgin Atlantic, you can expect to pay 65,000 round trip in economy. Virgin Atlantic is great because you transfer your points from all 4 of the major banks - Capital One, Amex, Citi, and one other that I can’t name due to affiliate rules.
If you book directly with ANA, you can expect to pay around 50,000 points round trip in economy. ANA is only a transfer partner with Amex. Note that the ANA site is pretty hard to navigate - I suggest finding the ANA flight on United first and then going to ANA to confirm that it’s available.
Once you find the flight you want, you’ll transfer your points directly from the bank to Virgin Atlantic or ANA, and then book!
HOTEL OPTIONS 🏨
For your hotel - Hyatt has multiple options that you can book on points. I love Hyatt because you’ll get your best bang for your points compared to other hotel chains

Learning to utilize transfer partners is the way to maximizing your credit card points! To redeem your credit card points for travel, you usually have 2 options - use your points in the bank’s travel portal OR transfer your points out of the bank to one of their airline or hotel partners.
Each of the major travel credit card companies have strategic relationships with airline and hotel partners for you to be able to transfer your bank points directly to the airline or hotel.
You’ll typically get much better bang for your points if you transfer your points to a transfer partner.
Most of the time, your points transfer 1:1 to the transfer partners. The travel portals always charge static pricing based on the cash rate of the flight/hotel. The airlines/hotel chains do not necessarily base their points pricing on the cash rate - which is where you will save your points compared to the portal!
Comment “cheat sheet” and I’ll send you my Transfer Partner Cheat Sheet that outlines all the transfer partners for each of the 4 major credit card issuers.

Why I’m a Hyatt girlie through and through 👀
Hyatt is one of the only hotel chains with a published award calendar - they put each of their hotels into a Category 1 through 8. Category 1 is for run of the mill hotels in less expensive areas. Category 8 is for ultra luxury hotels in expensive destinations.
The award calendar gives points prices for each category hotel for off-peak, standard, and on-peak nights. Making it really, really easy to budget your points well ahead of time.
On top of that, their award calendar is really reasonable and makes it easy to consistently get 2+ cents per point.
The easiest way to earn Hyatt points is through my favorite credit card points program, rather than through spending on Hyatt credit cards. These points transfer 1:1 to Hyatt. Due to affiliate rules, I can’t name this credit card program, but DM me if you have questions!
You can find the award calendar on Hyatt’s website or by Googling “Hyatt award calendar”
What’s your favorite Hyatt redemption? Let me know in the comments 👇🏻

🔔 Send this to a friend who needs to know more about business cards!
Business cards are my secret sauce to earning more points 😎
⭐ They typically have low or no annual fees
⭐ They typically have generous sign-up bonus. Right now, my favorite business cards are offering 90,000 points as a sign up bonus (worth at least $900 in travel!)
⭐ They don’t impact your credit score. Business cards will be a hard inquiry, but they do not count as an account that affects your credit score.
⭐ They don’t impact your 5/24 status - 5/24 is a rule from the Blue Bank saying that you can’t open more than 5 cards in 24 months. Business cards don’t count as a 5/24 slot.
Do you question whether or not you qualify for a business card? Chances are - you probably do! Here are some ideas for non-traditional businesses that make you eligible for a business card:
- Selling clothes or household items on Facebook
- Driving for uber
- Contract work
- Babysitting or tutoring
- Selling on etsy
- The list could go on forever!
Comment “best offer” and I’ll send you my two favorite business cards whose ALL-time high offers are coming to end on January 18, 2024 at 9AM ET! You’ll earn 90,000 points after you spend $6k in 3 months.

My biggest “Aha!” moment was learning how valuable my credit card points are! I had always thought if I have 10,000 points, it must equal $100 in value. I was so wrong!
📌 Save this for the next time you want to use your credit card points!
Here’s why HOW you use your points is more important than how many points you have:
⭐️If you use your points for gift cards or cash back: the bank is going to charge you a set rate of 1 cent per point. That means it’ll take 50,000 points to get a $500 gift card.
⭐️ If you use your points in the travel portal: most banks will charge a flat 1 cent per point. So a $500 flight will cost you 50,000 points.
⭐️ The major travel banks (Amex, Capital One, Citi, and “Blue Bank”) let you transfer your points OUT of the bank and to one of their transfer partners
👉🏻 Each bank has a list of airline and hotel transfer partners - including airline and hotels like United, Southwest, Hyatt, and Marriott.
👉🏻 By transferring your points directly to the airline or hotel partner, you’ll be able to get 1.5, 2, or even more cents per point. Meaning instead of 10,000 points for $100 worth of travel, you’ll only need 5,000 points for $100 worth of travel.
👉🏻 By transferring your points directly out of your bank to a transfer partner, you can now pay the airline or hotel’s points prices - which are usually much much more favorable than the travel portal.
👉🏻 The airline or hotel might charge 35,000 points (or less! Or sometimes more) for that same exact $500 flight - meaning you’ll save 15,000 points just from transferring your points.
👉🏻 Another reason I am a huge proponent of transferring your points to the airline or hotel is that you’ll book directly with the airline/hotel, NOT the bank’s travel portal. Think of the bank’s travel portal like Expedia, [http://Booking.com](http://Booking.com “smartCard-inline”) or Priceline. When something goes wrong with the trip, it can

🚨 Hot take: if you are a low spender, credit card multipliers don’t matter as much as credit card welcome offers 🚨
A lot of people spend time focusing on spending multipliers - like 2x on groceries, 3x on gas, 2x on dining, etc. Instead, you should be focusing on credit card welcome offers!
Here’s why:
👉🏻 Let’s say you spend $35k a year and you have 1 credit card that you put ALL of your spending on.
👉🏻 At best, you’ll average 2 points per dollar spent. If you have $35,000 worth of expenses a year - you’ll earn 70,000 points.
VERSUS
👉🏻 Let’s say you’re a savvy travel hacker and open up a new credit card every 2 - 3 months in order to earn the welcome bonus. (All while being financially responsible and maintaining excellent credit!)
👉🏻 A lot of my favorite credit cards require around $5k in minimum spend in order to earn the welcome bonus of anywhere from 50,000 - 100,0000 points.
👉🏻 Even if you only open 1 credit card a year, you’ll earn double the amount of points (or more!)

While it can seem magical to turn your points into free travel - it’s not always that easy. The easiest way to find the best and cheapest award availability is to book as far out in advanced as possible.
Airlines open their award calendar about 11 months in advance. Hotels open their calendars up to 12 months in advance.
Having hard dates that you need to travel makes it more difficult to find award space. Booking ~11 months in advance can help mitigate this issue. If you are flexible with timing, you’ll be able to take the best deal available.
The beauty of booking with points is that if your plans change, your points will be refunded to your account. Note that if you transferred your points from your credit card bank to an airline/hotel transfer partner, your refunded points will go back to the airline or hotel, not back to your credit card.
Right now I’m thinking about my Fall 2024 travel 🤪 What trips are you planning right now?!

Don’t panic! Credit card denials are normal and not necessarily a bad thing.
🚨 Save this for when you get a credit card denial
⭐️ If you applied for a “blue bank” card, make sure you know the 5/24 rule!
👉🏻 5/24 is a rule from the “blue bank” that says that they will not approve you for any new cards if you have opened 5+ cards in the last 24 months. Cards from other banks count, but most business cards do not count. If you are above 5/24, they will deny you no matter what! Wait until you’re below 5/24 to apply to a “blue bank” card again. (Due to affiliate rules, I cannot name this bank - DM me and I can!)
⭐️ First matter of business - call the Reconsideration Line!
👉🏻 Each bank has a reconsideration line where they can explain why you were denied and you can ask to be reconsidered. Always call the reconsideration line!!
👉🏻 Oftentimes, they need more information from you or they’ve extended too much credit to you. You may ask to lower the credit limit on other cards in order to accommodate the new card.
👉🏻 If you don’t get a “yes” on the first call, try a call more times! Trust me, it can work.
⭐️ If you can’t get the card approved - try getting a card from another bank
⭐️ If all else fails, give it a break. If you have been opening a lot of cards in the last year or if you have limited credit history, you may need to slow down. Give it another 3-6 months before applying for a new card.

Credit card sign up bonuses are the best bang for your buck 👏🏻
Here’s an example why:
👉🏻 Let’s say you sign up for one of the “blue bank” card offers - you’ll earn 90,000 points after you spend $6,000 in 3 months. You’re essentially earning 15x points per dollar spent. 90,000 points is worth at least $900.
VS
👉🏻 Let’s say you spend all $6,000 on a card you already have. Most cards earn 1x points per dollar spent, sometimes more depending on the card and spending category. On the high end, let’s assume you earn 2x points per dollar spend, so you’ll earn 12,000 points.
⭐️ By just shifting what card you use, you’ll walk away with an extra 78,000 points (worth at least $780!)
Here are my top 4 tips to getting started:
⭐️ Open a new card every 90 days or so
⭐️ If you have friends or family interested in travel, utilize referral bonuses for easy extra points!
⭐️ Instead of using your points in the travel portal, transfer your points OUT of the bank using their transfer partners. Your points will go a lot further this way!
⭐️ Book your travel as far in advance as possible - if you can start booking travel 11+ months out, you’ll have the best award redemption options!
