My family just returned from an awesome week in California! We enjoyed our first night in beautiful Huntington Beach & then the remainder of our time at Disneyland. One of the main differences between Disneyland & Disney World is that everything at Disneyland is within walking distance. We stayed on property, so we had easy access to both parks, Disneyland & Disney’s California Adventure, as well as Downtown Disney. Perfect for returning to our hotel for midday naps!

Another difference is that Disneyland has both Avengers Campus & Cars Land. Huge scores for my superhero & Cars loving four year old!

As we walked the parks, my husband commented many times, “Disney just does it right!” Whether it’s Disney World, Disneyland, or Disney Cruise Lines, Disney consistently delivers a high quality product! From shows, to food, landscaping, character interactions, decor, Disney sets the bar high, & we always have an amazing time on our Disney trips!

I am passionate about the experiences Disney provides for families, which in turn lead to amazing memories. I love working with families & helping plan all the details to make magic happen. This year, in an attempt to simplify my life & spend more time with my family, I will solely be planning Disney trips. I am

🙌 The Disney Dining Plan is coming back for 2024!! In addition to this news, Disney announced several updates today! See below for a list!

🏰 2024 dates will be available for booking as of May 31, 2023! Reach out to get booked!

🏰 The Disney Dining Plan will be back for bookings as of January 9, 2024! Guests can choose from the Quick Service Plan or the regular Disney Dining Plan.

🏰 ParkPass reservations will not be required for bookings as of January 9, 2024! This is applicable to date-based tickets, which are what come in a package with a hotel reservation.

🏰 Disney Genie+ will undergo a change to allow guests to plan more before the day of their visit! More specifics will be announced later.

🏰 Early theme park entry will continue for all sort guests and extended evening hours will continue for deluxe resort guests!

Disney’s Castaway Cay is a gorgeous private island in the Bahamas, & was one of our ports of call on our recent cruise. On land, we had a delicious complimentary lunch, enjoyed the beautiful beach, and due to traveling with a professional sand eater, spent most of our afternoon at the large splash pad, absolutely perfect for toddlers! 🏝️ ☀️ 💧

One of the best aspects of our Disney Cruise was the amount of relaxing we were able to do. There was plenty to do, if we wanted to be busy, but there was also lots of downtime, which was 👌!

The boys treated themselves to haircuts on board while mama got a massage with a view! 💆‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️,

On our recent cruise, we had a Deluxe Oceanview Cabin with Verandah. Disney offers a really unique feature that is great for families; split bathrooms. One door opens to a sink & a toilet, while the other opens to a sink & a tub. There was a queen bed, and the couch folded out into a twin, a twin was stored in the ceiling, and there was a twin Murphy bed. We also had a Pack & Play crib delivered & set up. Under the bed, there’s plenty of room for suitcase storage.

Pro tip: we ordered room service each night, free on Disney Cruise Line, and requested a thermos full of coffee. We then woke up & drank it on our verandah each morning. So peaceful! ☕️ 🌊 ☀️

Another really cool part of our cruise was that it featured a Marvel Day at Sea. My superhero admiring little guy loved all the shows, character meetings, decorations, and food based around this theme. 🦸‍♀️ 🦸‍♂️

One of my family’s favorite parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is the Character Dining! We love the interactions with the characters and by meeting them while eating we free up park time to enjoy other attractions, rather than standing in lines waiting to grab a photo and say our hellos!

Contemplating a Disney trip with a baby? We’ve got you covered! At 8 months, our sweet Gillian experienced the magic for the first time & it was a roaring success! Here are her top 3 tips for taking an infant to WDW:

1) Wear your baby! It’s nice & cozy & makes for an excellent napping spot! 😴
2) Utilize the Baby Care Centers located at each of the 4 parks. However, if you’re a nursing mama, Disney allows that anywhere you feel comfortable! We felt comfortable everywhere! 🙂 🤱
3) Be flexible! Plans are great, but some of our best moments included impromptu dance parties, babbling at fish, and chasing leaves!💃 🐟 🍃

Planning is crucial for a Walt Disney World vacation, but it's also important to allow for downtime in your schedule, as that's frequently where those little magical moments occur.

On our most recent trip, we had a relaxing resort day with evening reservations at The Hoop De Doo Musical Review, a Wild West themed dinner show. Our three year old was super into the entire performance! Halfway through our meal, an actress approached our table. She quietly informed Dawson that she could really use his help, if he would be willing. He agreed and was swept away. Moments later, during the grand finale musical number, The Ballad of Davy Crockett, he emerged on stage as The Hero. He saved the day by scaring away a grizzly bear with his mean growl and flexed muscles! He was so proud of himself and we were so proud of him! It was a trip highlight and one we will never forget!

Fun Fact: Prince William also portrayed The Hero when he and Princess Diana visited Walt Disney World in 1993!

We are all thrilled to be sailing on the Disney Dream, featuring stops at Castaway Cay and Cozumel, Mexico, and a Marvel Day at Sea. I’ve never been on DCL, and the rest of my family has never cruised. We’re excited to check it all out and report back on our experience as ”first timers!”

Happy Small Business Saturday!

I’ve spent my morning listening to James Taylor’s Christmas album while taking down fall decor and replacing it with winter. My three year old is excitedly wheeling around his new Buzz Lightyear suitcase as we leave tonight for a week at Walt Disney World! We’re so excited! 😁

Sitting down to rock my baby girl, my mind drifts to my sweet mama. I think of her always, but certain times of the year, the longing for her is more poignant. The holidays are one of those times.

When I was in the WDW College Program in 2010, my parents visited me and we experienced the magic together! I still remember her giggles as the 50’s Prime Time Cafe waitress punished her for elbows on the table, the look on her face as she finished Space Mountain, and her tears as she watched fireworks burst behind the castle. I’m so thankful!

As a travel agent, but more importantly as someone who has endured a profound loss early in life, I encourage you to take the trip. Make the memories. Prioritize experiences over things. Love on your people while they’re here! ❤️

First and foremost, I’m an expert on all things Disney, but I also book lots of resorts and cruises. I also have tons of great contacts and am very comfortable planning Alaskan, Hawaiian, and European vacations. ✈️

I always encourage people to reach out, let me know what type of trip they’re wanting, and see if it’s something that makes sense for us to plan together. I’m always open and transparent. If there is a destination that I’m not super familiar with or I wouldn’t be a great resource for planning, I share that information and try to point them in the right direction. 😊
