Rémy de Haenenan who was an eccentric Dutch aviator, landed his plane at what is now the St. Barth’s airport & streamlined tourism in 1946. He became the first hotelier & the island's mayor.

Fast forward to 2024 & St. Barths is one of the most prized islands in the Caribbean you can visit— but not everyone sails to this gem.

The biodiversity of St. Barth's + the surrounding islands have: 183 different species of fish, 54 varieties of coral, and 60 types of sea sponges. I saw more wild Sea Turtles in 1 hour then I had seen in my entire life.

Speaking in front of crowds was my Achilles heel in college

Communications was my most feared class → simply because we had to get up in front 50 students and talk about random topics

But fast forward a few years later and I’m stepping on a stage solo speaking in front of hundreds without breaking a sweat

7 tips to speaking in front of crowds like a pro

1/ know your material → first things first knowing what you’re talking about is most important

2/ know your audience → adjust to your audience. Are they falling asleep? Don’t whisper but also keep it shorter. Catering to your crowd is key

3/ practice → going through your speech full length helps remove doubt and improve what’s being said

4/ breath work → focus on keeping your breath under control when your nerves kick in. Positive affirmations can be very helpful

5/ story tell → no one pays attention to a monotone speech, keep it interesting with a personal story tied into your topic

6/ project your voice → loudly & clearly to the crowd so even people in the back can hear

7/ embrace silence → use pauses after key points to provoke thought
