Vacation Laundry: Do you bring home all of our dirty clothes (🥴) or do you do laundry while on vacation?

Our villa had a private washer and dryer in it for this trip and it was a GAME CHANGER. I washed all of our clothes from the first 4 days of our trip, then sorted them by person and put them back in our compression packing bags for the trip home. The six of us create a ton of laundry and the worst thing after a vacation is always the unpacking and “catch up” to get our laundry back in a manageable order.

I’m 100% unpacked and put away in less than 24 hours of returning home… and our pajamas from our last night/travel clothes are already in the wash!

Doing laundry in our room saved our sanity and took almost NO time out of enjoying our stay!

FREEBIE ALERT!

Dont forget to use the extra “perks” you get by staying onsite at WDW, like a round of mini golf!

We played 18 holes of mini golf at Winter Summerland Miniature Golf after visiting Blizzard Beach today. It was a ton of fun (and completely FREE because we are staying on site).

I can’t believe we’ve never taken advantage of this benefit before (we’re usually just too busy).

We checked into the Grand Floridian this afternoon… and it is nothing short of stunning.

The nighttime view of Cinderella’s Castle across the Seven Lagoons Bay is incredible.

The kids loved running on the beach barefoot this evening!

Have you ever visited the water parks at WDW?

Normally it’s $75 a day for an adult, but with Disney’s 2025 promo you can go to a Disney Water Park (Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach) on check-in day for FREE!

We love the “cool” theming of Blizzard Beach…. And we even got to vote for the best Frozen snowmen made by the Disney cast today!

This resort is SO pretty and definitely a “vibe.”

We arrived around 1am and were promptly greeted by two bunnies and an armadillo on our path across the lake to our room!

This was just our “middle of the night” travel room (we’re transferring to another resort this morning). But I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

What’s your “cut-off” temperature for swimming at WDW?

Coming from New Hampshire, my kids are ready to swim all year long in Florida.

Plus, the pools are heated.

Bonus points if there is a hot tub in the area for this mama. 😉

If you have a big family (like me), I’m sure you’ve experienced the WOES of packing and traveling with all of your kids.

We LOVE 🏰 MAGICAL 🏰 vacations, but getting 4 kids, a stroller, and all of our luggage through the airport and to our resort is always the biggest headache of our trip!

I’ve learned to 💡PACK SMART 💡.

Since our kids are 11 (almost 12), 5, 4, and 1… most of them are not able to carry their own suitcases (at least not at the speed I prefer 😆).

My solution? I pack EVERYONE’s bags before our trip…. And I pack by “day” rather than by person!

This not only helps me to reduce the number of bags we take with us, but also helps stay organized getting ready in the mornings (we always dress in themes, so keeping our themed clothes together is super helpful).

We leave for WDW for 4 nights this Friday…. And all of our luggage for our family of SIX is going to fit in THREE carry-on suitcases. (Shout out to these awesome no-vacuum-needed compression bags to make the best use of our suitcase space!)

Late Night Arrivals

Worried about the safety of a late night arrival? Don’t fret! We arrived to Port Orleans- Riverside around 1am and it was well lit, security was present at the gate, and our room was easy to find! We used Away We Go private transportation. Our driver, Ibriham, was AMAZING. He was very conscious of making sure we had time to secure car seats and double check them, knew the routes and how to navigate safely, and very helpful with our bags (and even offered to make extra stops for us). #travel #travelagent #wdw #portorleansriverside #latenight #latenightflight
