Traveling to Walt Disney World with a 3 year old (and under) can be magical adventure! As magical as it can be, it can be stressful due to change in a child’s schedule, overstimulation, the heat, and more! Consider following these Top 5 Tips to make things go as smooth as possible with young children!

1. Set your expectations. I recommend picking your top 3-5 Must Do experiences each day. Anything after that is a bonus!

2. Schedule as close as you can to your regular routine. Try to mobile order or plan your sit down meals around regular meal times and slow down around nap times. This includes taking breaks - whether it is a full nap at the resort, a nap on a dark ride, or a snack in a/c.

3. Consider what you bring for your room stay and the parks! Bring the necessities like diapers, wipes, change of clothes, stroller fan, sunscreen and snacks into the parks. (The Baby Care center in each park is stocked with items for purchase if you forget them!). Plus, some things you might not think about bringing: charger/batteries for the stroller fan, power bank for your phone, ziplock bags for wet clothes, small toys and books for the room.

4. Picky eaters - Bring all the snacks and maybe even a thermos! If you have a microwave in your room, you can pack a hot “safe” meal in a thermos to have in the parks. All resorts have a microwave in their food court or eating area if you don’t have one in your room!

5. Bring entertainment. I highly recommend this for waiting in lines and at sit down meals. Things like toy cars, mini play dough, coloring packs, invisible ink books, etc. No shame in downloading some shows on your phone either - just don’t forget your power bank!
