Away Babes is a small travel club founded by three good friends with a combined 35+ years in the tra Imagine this. We've all been there.
You want to take a trip with your girlfriends but before you know it, no one can agree on a date because everyone's schedule is booked. Between work, soccer practice, dance, book club, there's just too much going on. From hiking in the mountains of Costa Rica to kayaking in the aqua waters of the Caribbean, Away Babes is for women who are tired of waiting around for the "perfect time" and are read
y to jump into life's magnificent adventures. And yes, lounging on the beach in the French Riveria 100% counts as an adventure. At least, to us it does ;)

Jet lag never felt so good – I travel often to Europe, so I am accustomed to the middle of the night awakenings upon return - staring at the ceiling, willing myself to go back to sleep and wishing my body would adjust to the time as easily as it does in the other direction. But this time has been different – it is 4:30am, and I am at my computer trying to put into words my most recent Away Babes trip. I can’t stop thinking that we have accomplished what we set out to do, and the best is yet to come.
I am a city girl – when I dream of my next vacation or add to my never-ending bucket list, I dream of bustling metropolises, teeming with new foods, interesting people, and life experiences so different from my own. One of the driving principles of Away Babes is to step out of your comfort zone, try something new and most of all appreciate the experience.
When Traci Sidon mentioned a hiking trip to the Dolomites, I was more than a little nervous, but it’s hard to say no to Italy, and this region had been on my radar. I happily let her take the lead on this itinerary, drawing on her previous experience hiking the trails. We had an overwhelming response to the trip, and we departed with a group of 17 amazing women. Our first trip started with our friends, the second with friends of friends, and this one included strangers that I am truly blessed to say have become friends.
We supported each other through a Via Ferrata – a climb up, down and across a mountain face. We dipped behind waterfalls, trekked across bridges, and conquered our fears. The group bonded over a two-day hike with an overnight at a Refugio – no wifi and an intense game night. We got to ride some amazing e-bikes on our way to buy out the new line of Crazy apparel, and we had our fair share of prosecco along the way.
